Boston Boatworks has shared its latest addition to the Offshore Express Cruiser Series, the BB44. Collaborating with naval architect Doug Zurn and interior experts Winch Design, Boston Boatworks brings to life a balanced, elegant and functional vessel.
Designed to cater to discerning cruising couples, families, and guests seeking both comfort and adventure, the BB44 boasts an array of thoughtful features. The owner's private stateroom offers a nearly queen-sized bed that can be conveniently adjusted for easy maintenance, while the saloon and pilot house tables can be transformed into double beds, ensuring a comfortable sleeping experience for all occupants.
With Doug Zurn's renowned hull design, the BB44 promises a smooth and dry ride, even at its estimated top speed of 36 knots. Winch Design's innovative approach shines through in the bright and spacious interior, inviting an abundance of natural light and fresh air. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D6 engines with DPI Aquamatic Drives, the BB44 ensures both power and efficiency.
“After nearly three decades operating as a full-service shipyard, creating and servicing our own custom and contract production boats, we have realized our long-term dream of fabricating innovative Offshore Express Cruisers under the Boston Boatworks brand. The BB44 incorporates all the forward thinking we developed for the BB52, packaging these advances into this disruptive 44-footer,” says Scott Smith, founder and CEO of Boston Boatworks.
The production of Hulls No. 1 and No. 2 is currently underway, with anticipated launch dates set for late summer and October 2024, respectively.
Boston Boatworks was founded in 1996 by Mark Lindsay, Scott Smith, and Geoff Berger. Using advanced composite materials and cutting-edge methods, the company builds true ocean-worthy yachts.
