Winch Design has announced its latest collaboration with Boston Boatworks and Zurn Yacht Design on the development of the Boston Boatworks 52 Offshore Express Cruiser (BB52). The 17-meter express cruiser combines the efficiencies of Boston Boatworks' limited-run manufacturing of series yachts with the flexibility of semi-custom design, allowing prospective owners to choose from a range of interior configurations and finishes developed by Winch Design to address their specific lifestyle needs.

With Doug Zurn's renowned naval architecture design expertise, the BB52 Offshore Express Cruiser is set to join the best day cruisers in the market. The offshore capable day boat is fast and distinctive, with a flexible two-cabin interior that feels contemporary yet authentic. Winch Design drew inspiration from the deep blue of the open waters and the warm orange glow of sunset cruising around Nantucket, incorporating the colors into the lightweight interior, feature furniture, leather detailing, and surfaces.

Combining Vripack’s creative ingenuity with Moonen’s craftsmanship, the reimagined interior aims to elevate the onboard experience, reflecting the essence of Dutch design principles.Unveiled at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, Vripack’s fresh interpretation injects a refined yet playful character into the Moonen Martinique, showcasing the harmonious partnership between the two brands.Main saloon "We were given the freedom to propose something entirely original for this established series yacht, and we embraced it as an opportunity to celebrate our shared Dutch heritage," remarks Marnix Hoekstra, Vripack's co-creative director. Warm mid-century color tones of light taupe and grey are accentuated by a satin lacquer finish, while deep walnut furniture adds a touch of sophistication. Antique bronze mirrors in the main salon ceiling evoke the artistic brilliance of 17th-century Dutch masters, amplifying the sense of space and light.Incorporating the iconic colors of Dutch Delftware, the dining room features moody blue chairs and a striking hand-sketched mural depicting scenes reminiscent of the Netherlands’ landscapes. The deliberate "ripped edge" of the mural nods to the whimsical charm of Dutch design, encouraging guests to engage imaginatively with the space.Main saloon The main deck lobby stands out with vibrant turquoise walls, mirrored ceilings, and antique bronze accents, setting the tone for the owner’s suite. Here, a repositioned king-sized bed faces aft, maximizing 180-degree sea views and creating a unique connection to the surrounding environment. This seemingly subtle adjustment transforms the suite into a sanctuary, ideal for relaxation and reflection.Four additional guest cabins on the lower deck continue the theme of refined simplicity. Soft taupe leather wraps the beds, complemented by chunky Belvedere quartzite basins in the ensuites. GX Superyachts recently unveiled its new GX34 at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, marking a major milestone in the company's commitment to combining elegance with environmental responsibility. The yacht's sleek design and impressive performance demonstrate that eco-friendly yachting does not mean sacrificing luxury or functionality.The introduction of the GX34 follows closely on the heels of the announcement that construction has started on the brand's flagship, the GX42. Given the overwhelming interest in GX Superyachts' innovative approach to sustainable yachting, launching a second model seemed a logical next step.Central to the GX34's design is the principle of Responsible Yachting, which involves reducing carbon emissions while maintaining the pinnacle of luxury. By incorporating advanced hybrid electric propulsion and optimized hull lines, the GX34 achieves up to 30% lower emissions compared to traditional superyachts.Leveraging years of experience in hybrid diesel-electric systems through its sister company, Greenline Yachts, GX Superyachts integrates cutting-edge technologies. The 2025 St. Barths Bucket regatta saw three days of unusually light winds, posing a significant challenge for participants. Despite these trying conditions, the SW96 Liberty excelled, claiming a notable second-place finish in the Corinthian “L'Esprit” class.Jim Schmicker, serving as both naval architect and mainsail trimmer, lauded Liberty's performance: “Liberty proved outstanding in the light and difficult conditions. Her downwind speed with just the Code Zero and main impressed, earning compliments from competitors. Her agility and acceleration were critical factors in our success.”Organizers adjusted course lengths due to the light breeze, resulting in pursuit races for the 26 competing superyachts, ranging from 28 to 56 meters.The owner expressed pride in Liberty's debut: “Her performance exceeded my expectations, particularly under such challenging conditions. Moran Yacht & Ship has announced the sale of a new 122.5-meter superyacht, Project Omega, which will be constructed by Lürssen. The vessel, with a gross tonnage of 5,200GT, is set for delivery in 2029 and marks Moran Yacht & Ship’s 25th new construction project in partnership with Lürssen.Designed by British studio RWD, both the interior and exterior of the yacht will feature a timeless design aesthetic. The vessel will accommodate up to 20 guests across 10 cabins, offering luxurious living spaces combined with state-of-the-art amenities. Key onboard features include a beach club, a fully-equipped dive center, and expansive outdoor areas designed for entertainment and relaxation.The project is particularly notable as it represents the second superyacht built for the same owner in collaboration with Moran Yacht & Ship. The brokerage is overseeing the entire construction process, including the development of technical specifications and contract negotiations.The construction of Project Omega is currently underway at the Lürssen shipyard, with work progressing under strict confidentiality to ensure the unique features of the vessel remain exclusive to its owner.
