New GX34 Unveiled at Palm Beach International Boat Show
GX Superyachts recently unveiled its new GX34 at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, marking a major milestone in the company's commitment to combining elegance with environmental responsibility. The yacht's sleek design and impressive performance demonstrate that eco-friendly yachting does not mean sacrificing luxury or functionality. The introduction of the GX34 follows closely on the heels of the announcement that construction has started on the brand's flagship, the GX42. Given the overwhelming interest in GX Superyachts' innovative approach to sustainable yachting, launching a second model seemed a logical next step.Central to the GX34's design is the principle of Responsible Yachting, which involves reducing carbon emissions while maintaining the pinnacle of luxury. By incorporating advanced hybrid electric propulsion and optimized hull lines, the GX34 achieves up to 30% lower emissions compared to traditional superyachts.Leveraging years of experience in hybrid diesel-electric systems through its sister company, Greenline Yachts, GX Superyachts integrates cutting-edge technologies. The GX34 combines twin 200kW electric motors with up to 2132kW of diesel power, providing both silent, emission-free cruising and powerful long-distance capabilities. A massive 800kWh lithium-ion battery bank enables extended use of electric-only propulsion, enhancing fuel efficiency and minimizing noise pollution.Additionally, the GX34 features up to 46 solar panels, generating approximately 30MWh of renewable energy annually. This enables prolonged anchoring periods without needing to rely on noisy generators, contributing to a quieter, more environmentally friendly yachting experience. The GX34 boasts an incredible range of 10,000 nautical miles at 6 knots in hybrid mode, cruising comfortably at 12 knots and reaching a top speed of 16 knots. Future upgrades may include larger engine options and a "Hybrid Sport" package for enhanced performance.Designed by renowned Italian designer Marco Casali, the GX34 is available in three variants: Raised Pilot House (RPH), Fly, and Coupe. Each configuration offers a unique aesthetic while retaining a focus on functionality and comfort. As part of its expansion into the Americas market, GX Superyachts has joined forces with Northrop & Johnson, a leading yacht brokerage firm celebrating its 75th anniversary. This partnership underscores both companies' shared values of innovation, sustainability, and delivering unparalleled luxury experiences."The GX34 and the broader GX lineup represent the future of luxury yachting," remarked Cromwell Littlejohn, President and CCO of Northrop & Johnson. "We are honored to collaborate with GX Superyachts, bringing their groundbreaking designs to discerning clients across the Americas."The GX34 marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of sustainable yachting, blending cutting-edge technology with sophisticated design.
