While DELFINO has for many years been described as an Alden, it has to be acknowledged that no build number has been tracked down to identify her thus absolutely. That she was built by an Italian yard on the eve of WW II may reasonably explain the lack of it.In assessing the likelihood however it has to be said that this yacht exhibits so many of the characteristics of John Alden’s designs, well known for their beauty as well as their ability offshore that we are inclined to describe her as an Alden with this caveat. Fact is there is a shortage of well restored yachts of this size that can be cruised extensively as well as exhibited and raced - and DELFINO fits the bill. The current ownership are lucky enough to own a fleet of classic vessels so with their knowledge and passion DELFINO has been optimised for Med cruising, with generator, air conditioning as well as new Hood sails. Thus wonderfully set up she is ready.
