Yas Marina of Abu Dhabi has officially opened bookings for the 2019 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, marking the start of the winter yachting season. Yacht owners are invited to secure their trackside spots before August 31, in preparation for the UAE capital’s biggest event that will take place from 29th November till 1st December, 2019.



The grand finale to the world’s most spectacular racing series returns to Yas Marina Circuit to fit in the selection of track, and non-track view berths for yachts from 10 metres up to 150 meters in length. 

Situated on Yas Island, the 227 wet-berth marina, with additional 97 dry-berth facilities has been host to some of the world's largest superyachts. In celebration of the eleventh edition of the iconic race, the F1 berth packages include generous allocation of Yas Marina guests and crew passes based on the boat size, along with other privileges. 



In addition, top international headline artists are expected, with previous concerts including the likes of Rihanna, Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z, The Weekend, Guns N Roses, Sam Smith, and Pink.

The marina is also home to a range of nine licensed international restaurant and bar experiences, including Italian fine dining at Cipriani. Over the race weekend the marina welcomes nearly 24,000 party goers, celebrating the weekend in style. Yacht guests can also enjoy onboard catering, servicing, and delivery as they host and party into the evenings.



For visiting yachts, Yas Marina’s facilities include an onsite foreign flag vessel clearance, assistance with maritime regulations and navigation licenses, petrol station and bunkering for larger yachts, electricity supply from 16-1,000 amps, fresh water supply, assistance with maritime regulations and navigation licenses, marina wide Wi-Fi, waste disposal, and black and grey water pump out. 

Yacht owners and crew can also take advantage of the technical and haul out facilities at nearby Mussafah Port, which are competitively priced at up to 15% cheaper than European facilities. 



The 5 Gold Anchors awarded marina aims to become an ideally located homeport to further explore the region after the Formula 1 race. The port lays in the heart of Yas Island, offering easy access to other attractions with internationally acclaimed theme parks Ferrari World, Warner Brothers World, Water World, leisure destination Du Arena, links golf course, private beach clubs and the capitals most preferred shopping and entertainment destination, Yas Mall. 

Abu Dhabi city is also situated close by, representing home to historic sites, heritage attractions, world class golfing and polo events, and iconic landmarks.

36m Moonshine Launched by Moonen Yachts
Moonen Yachts has launched the 36.3m Martinique named Moonshine, during a christening ceremony held last week in The Netherlands. This marks the sixth Martinique model from Moonen's successful fast displacement steel hull series, designated as yard number YN204.Represented by Neal Esterly from Fraser Yachts, the owners chose Moonen Yachts to bring their vision to life due to the yard's reputation for excellence in their size range and yacht type. Customizations were made to suit the owners' preferences, including adjustments to the yacht's length, allowing it to fit within a specific location with a limited length requirement.Set to be delivered before the summer season, Moonshine will embark on a journey through the Mediterranean and the Caribbean before finding her permanent home in San Diego, California.The collaboration between Moonen Yachts and the owners, crew, and construction team was characterized by close cooperation and productive exchanges. John Bechtold, the Project Manager at Moonen Yachts, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to refine Moonshine according to the owners' desires and intended use.Crafted in collaboration with Hollander Yacht Design, Moonshine boasts a rich and characterful interior design. 40m Project EVO Revealed by Van der Valk

Northrop & Johnson has been named the exclusive sales broker by Ares Yachts for the globally anticipated sale of the shipyard’s flagship, Simena.
