Following over a year of research and analysis, Yacht Harbour is proud to launch Project Timeline, the world's first superyacht analytics platform to let you access detailed reports on every single superyacht in our 3,000+ database.

Combining more than 140,000 data points, gathered through over 20,000 hours of extensive research into the story behind each yacht in Yacht Harbour's database, the Timeline index contains information on price reductions, sales, charter rates through time, highlights in media, refits, name changes and much more.

The Timeline data set is browsable as industry-wide statistics, however, most interestingly it also allows subscribers of this platform to view every single timeline on a yacht by yacht basis, which is where the project takes its name from.

Structured as a dynamic data set, a key characteristic of the Timeline platform is its ability to leverage the combined data amassed through this extensive research, to power a whole new yacht search experience.

With a set of powerful features such as, for example, the ability to sort search results by time on market or by the percentage that their asking price has decreased since being listed, the market search built into the Timeline platform allows subscribers to unearth new deals and market insights across the entire superyacht brokerage market.

Another functionality of the platform is its ability to instantly find every yacht that ever bore a particular name, at any point in time.

Maintained and researched by an in-house team of analysts, Yacht Harbour's Timeline index is updated on an hourly basis to ensure the best possible intelligence for the platform's subscribers.

Amongst the platform's functionalities is also a real-time market view dashboard, highlighting the most important statistics of the superyacht market as it develops. Verticals measured include new listings, price reductions, sales, trending news stories and much more.

Letting both industry professionals, buyers and sellers gain actionable insights into the market, the Timeline platform is, as of today, available to subscribers at a rate of €99/month per user or €990/year for each user. Enterprise plans are also available for teams that would need to sign up several users at the same time.

"The Timeline platform lets individuals access a data resource that has long only been available to large firms at a substantial labour cost." said Dimitri Semenikhin, Founder of Yacht Harbour, "Now anyone can efficiently leverage analytics and research for their activity or interest in yachting at a fraction of the cost of operating an in-house analytics department".

Sanlorenzo and MAN Partner to Develop First Yacht with Bi-Fuel Methanol Propulsion
Sanlorenzo, in collaboration with MAN, has announced the development of a yacht equipped with a bi-fuel green methanol propulsion system, designed to reduce navigation emissions by up to 70%. The project, unveiled at the Blue Innovation Dock at Boot Düsseldorf, will debut on Sanlorenzo’s 50 X-Space model, planned for launch in 2027.The bi-fuel propulsion system forms part of the LIFE MYSTIC project, co-financed by the European Union under the LIFE program. The initiative, which began in June 2024 and spans 54 months, represents a €4.8 million investment, 60% of which is funded by EU grants. The project involves the installation of MAN diesel engines and Nanni Industries generators adapted to run on a combination of green methanol and diesel. Expected outcomes include significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, fossil fuel consumption, and air pollutants.Methanol was selected for its potential as an alternative maritime fuel. It is liquid at ambient temperature, biodegradable, and compatible with existing infrastructure with minimal modifications. When derived from renewable sources, green methanol achieves net-zero emissions. This fuel is already available in over 100 ports worldwide, with its use growing in Northern Europe, where green corridors support methanol-fueled vessels.Sanlorenzo’s strategy anticipates global and European regulatory targets for emission reductions. The 50 X-Space model aims to surpass the International Maritime Organization’s 2040 target of a 70% emission reduction and the EU’s 2030 Fit for 55 agenda goal of 55%.The project aligns with Sanlorenzo’s broader "Road to 2030" strategy, focusing on sustainability and innovation. In 2024, the company introduced the 50Steel, the first yacht with a green methanol fuel cell system for onboard energy, and the BGH-HSV, a hydrogen-powered chase boat capable of achieving zero emissions.Through initiatives like LIFE MYSTIC, Sanlorenzo is contributing to the development of alternative fuel technologies and infrastructure. Sanlorenzo was founded in 1958 in Viareggio by yacht builder Gionvanni Jannetti. In 2005, Massimo Perrotti became the majority shareholder in the shipyard. Sanlorenzo builds yachts ranging from 28.60 to 73 meters in length. Credits: Sanlorenzo
