Wider Yachts, the Italian shipyard established in 2010, has announced the sale of their first Wider 150, Genesi. The 47-meter yacht was listed for sale asking €26,500,000 following its launch in November 2015.

Wider's first model in 2010 became the 13-meter Wider 42, whose prime selling point was the extendable platform located amidst ship allowing for 18m2 of deck space at anchor. The powerboat could also carry a jet-ski or a tender and reach a maximum speed in excess of 50 knots.

The company's ultimate plan to build larger yachts became apparent at the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show when its founder, Tilli Antonelli, introduced the Wider 150. A year later, in December 2012, the Wider 150 was under construction with some substantial changes made to the original concept such as the switch from composite to aluminium.

In May 2013, together with Camper & Nicholsons, managed to sell the Wider 150 with CNI stating back in 2011 that the asking price would be near €21-€22 million. In 2015, prior to her delivery, the newly named Genesi, was made available for sale once again by the shipyard asking €26,500,000.

The yacht has now been sold to a Canadian owner by Swell Yachting and is now named Bartali. Wider currently also has 50-meter Project Cecilia under construction, which the shipyard once said was intended for the original owner of the Wider 150. Project Cecilia is now up for sale asking €30,000,000 and is scheduled to be delivered in 2017.
