The first name of this mysterious yacht was Syzygy 818 – in Chinese numerology, the numbers add up to mean ‘prosperous’ while visually conveying the expression ‘fortune mirrors fortune’. The word syzygy is a term used in astronomy to denote a rare event when three heavenly bodies line up perfectly, with a lunar eclipse and new moon being good examples.
She was built by Feadship's Royal Van Lent Shipyard.
Delivered and renamed as Pi in 2019. Her debut was at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019.
Her wonderful features were designed by Jarkko Jämsen, her sophisticated Zen-like interiors meanwhile, are the work of Sinot Yacht Design.

At November 16 the 77.30-metre Pi was announced the unanimous winner at The World Superyacht Awards, where she won two awards – the Motor Yacht of the Year and Best Displacement Motor Yacht Between 1,500GT and 1,999GT
According to the judges hers “Remarkable build quality is combined with superb design and innovation. Pi is a yacht that borders on perfection with her harmonious minimalism seen in the interior by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and exterior by Jämsen.”
Judges also admired how Feadship surmounted many obstacles, “The best example of which is the incorporation of floor-to-ceiling windows without mullions, to create the owners’ dream of a main saloon that is truly at one with the exterior.” The icing on the cake for the panel of experienced owners was “the detail and harmony of every interior element and Feadship’s perfect quality of construction.”

Pi has also won the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2020 as Innovation of the year.
