The renowned Doggersbank series by Vripack needs no introduction, with over 700 models built since their debut in the 1970s. Now, with the Doggersbank 77' Offshore, Vripack has demonstrated their ability to modernize this iconic design to meet the specific needs of owners.

Designed for an adventure-seeking owner, the Doggersbank 77' Offshore combines Vripack's expertise in pocket explorers with a larger platform. The Dutch design studio, known for their naval architecture, exterior, and interior designs, has created a vessel that fulfills the owner's requirements and showcases Vripack's revitalized vision.

Featuring a narrow beam and a single engine, this 23.5-meter Doggersbank was meticulously designed by Vripack to optimize efficiency and performance. The bulbous bow, fine-tuned using Vripack's computational fluid dynamic analysis, ensures optimal hydrodynamics. What sets this yacht apart is its pioneering single engine PTO/PTI hybrid propulsion system, making it the first Doggersbank model of its kind. With this innovative system, the yacht can cruise silently on batteries for up to two hours at six knots, consuming just 50 liters of fuel per hour.

Bart Bouwhuis, Vripack's co-creative director, explains, "Efficiency, comfort, and noise reduction at low speeds embody the essence of Vripack's holistic design approach. By combining onboard comfort, redundancy in performance, and efficient design, we ensure that the owner's experience on board is nothing short of perfection."

The 77' Offshore is designed to be operated by the owner and falls just below the 24-meter threshold, making it the largest owner-operated Doggersbank in the fleet. The yacht's compact size and specific beam were chosen to accommodate the owner's recently acquired harbor berth on the northwest coast of North America.

To address the cruising area's challenges, the yacht incorporates features such as a protective nozzle for the propeller and rudder to navigate driftwood commonly found in the region. Open portholes provide natural ventilation, and careful noise cancellation is implemented throughout, including the full-beam owner's stateroom. The lower deck offers spacious accommodations built to the latest noise cancellation standards, featuring a generous VIP suite and twin guest cabins, each with an ensuite bathroom.

The custom interior boasts an expansive laundry and utility room on the lower deck, a watch bunk in the bridge for night crossings, and an open spiral staircase connecting all three decks, allowing clear visibility from the main salon to the bridge and lower deck. The interior design showcases fine quarter-sawn American walnut and neutral base fabrics, complemented by stylish soft furnishings in warm tones inspired by the radiant Indian summers of North America.

Scheduled to begin construction in early September 2023, the Doggersbank 77' Offshore is set to be delivered in 2025.

Vripack is a yacht-design studio with a portfolio that represents over 7400 designs, made strong through its extensive naval architecture and engineering experience. From the moment they opened their doors in 1961, Vripack studio’s approach to design has been governed by the playful interaction between form and function.
