The 15th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 commenced on Monday, February 19, 2024, under splendid conditions off Fort Charlotte, Antigua, with sixty-four boats and over 500 sailors embarking on the 600-nautical-mile race across 11 Caribbean islands. With a south-easterly breeze reaching up to 17 knots, the race saw a swift start, setting the stage for an exhilarating Caribbean classic.

This year’s RORC Caribbean 600 saw fierce competition, with the MOD70s leading the pack. Argo, skippered by Jason Carroll from the USA, held a four-mile lead over Zoulou from France. In the monohull division, Farr 100 Leopard 3, helmed by Joost Schuijff from Monaco, led the charge halfway through the race leg from St. Barths to Guadeloupe.
As the race progressed into its second day, competitors navigated through a series of challenges, including wind shadows and strategic maneuvers around the islands of Saba, Sint Maarten, and St. Barths. The competition remained fierce, with boats vying for position under constantly changing conditions.
With a backdrop of picturesque Caribbean landscapes, teams shared updates and experiences through videos, pictures, and messages, providing insights into the intense race dynamics. The RORC Caribbean 600 serves as a thrilling chapter in the Royal Ocean Racing Club's Season Points Championships, continuing its legacy as one of the world's most prestigious offshore racing series.
