Following a debut in March 2023 at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, where three units were promptly snapped up, Turkish shipbuilder Vicem Yachts presents the initial glimpses of their groundbreaking vessel, the Vicem Tuna Masters 37 (TM37) hull#1, slicing through the crystalline waters of Puerto Rico. This 11m fiberglass marvel is the inaugural model in a visionary line of sport-fishing and cruising boats.
Harnessing the might of triple 350-horsepower Mercurys, an upgrade from the conventional twin 350hp package, the Vicem TM37 hull#1 emerges as a testament to meticulous engineering. "Precise weight distribution was a labor of love, enabling a range of power choices (from 350hp to a staggering 3*450hp) and versatile speeds," shares the Vicem team. Propelled by the enhanced power configuration, the 37 hull#1 commands a swift 55 miles per hour, while maintaining a steady 46 miles per hour with the standard twins.
Marrying forces with acclaimed angler and designer Murat Iyriboz, alongside DLBA Naval Architects from Chesapeake, Virginia, Vicem sculpted the new series with unwavering expertise.
The hull's blueprint has been meticulously perfected to ensure comfort and security in tumultuous waters, providing a steadfast, broad-beamed foundation for those who seek the fusion of a seaworthy cruiser and a high-performance fishing vessel. Even more captivating, the lineup will boast Seakeeper gyro stabilization throughout, coupled with a remarkable range surpassing 350 nautical miles.
The Vicem TM37 CC, a jewel of maritime engineering, boasts accommodations befitting a luxurious cruiser, offering twin berths and a convenient wethead below deck. On the main level, the cockpit welcomes anglers with ample space and three aft-facing mezzanine seats. Completing this arrangement, a foredeck lounge features a sunpad and twin bench seats.
Commanding the helm, three secure seats provide ergonomic access to three Raymarine screens, sheltered from ocean winds by a resilient windshield. A lightweight carbon hardtop stands as a testament to innovation. Fishing aficionados will delight in features like a capacious 50-gallon in-transom livewell, Gemlux rod holders, and a dedicated port-side tuna door.
Vicem's Turkish facilities are abuzz with activity, as seven units are currently in production, with hull#2 set for a September 2023 launch.
Vicem Yachts was founded by Sebahattin HafizogluIt. The Vicem yacht range includes Classic, Flybridge, Cruiser, Vulcan, Sportfish and Bahama Bay lines.
