Van der Valk Continental Yachts is delighted to report that the shipyard has taken two new orders for a 26m Raised Pilothouse and an 18m Flybridge.
The Van der Valk – Raised Pilothouse will have a distinctive look, blending a modern style with understated classic elements. Its layout includes an elevated wheelhouse position and wide open forward main deck area, devised with Guido de Groot Design and the owner. A contemporary interior of whitewashed English oak, classic highlights and unique features is exceptionally bright thanks to the large windows.
The lower deck is home to the full-beam owners’ cabin with walk-in wardrobe. Both guest cabins are ensuite, as is the spacious VIP forward. The flybridge deck sports an outdoor helm plus sun loungers, dinette settee and wet bar, with space for a 4.2-m tender and waverunner.
The lounge includes a cooking island and is linked to the outdoor area by sliding doors. A split-level wheelhouse arrangement creates a natural flow between the raised pilothouse and main deck via floating stainless steel stairs. The galley is flanked by a day head, while the crew mess, two crew cabins and bathroom are located forward.
A conventional shaft propulsion system with propellers and twin MTU engines will provide 25 knots. A Seakeeper 26 gyroscopic stabilizing system will ensure maximum comfort when this great new boat is launched in late spring 2017.
The Van der Valk – Flybridge will have an unprecedented degree of luxury for an 18m motoryacht when delivered in May 2017. While we’ve built lots of larger yachts lately, our commitment to the 15-20m segment is shown by this first ever Flybridge version under 20m.
The flybridge comprises an outdoor helm station, dinette settee & table and a wet bar. There is also room on deck for a 3.50m tender with crane, while the foredeck features ample sun beds. All the day spaces are grouped at main deck level, including the saloon, dining room and open aft area with table for eight. The galley to port is placed alongside the steering station to starboard.
Unusually for such a lean boat, the new Van der Valk – Flybridge boasts a sauna for three people with a connected bathroom to port, as well as a utility room/office to starboard. The full-beam owners’ cabin amidships has a bed fitted diagonally to allow for a more spacious bathroom, and the luxurious VIP cabin occupies the lower deck forward. The new yacht will be powered by Volvo IPS engines and include underway fin stabilizers.
Van der Valk has recently presented the new patented (patent pending) motoryacht Van der Valk BeachClub.
