Uber, one of the fastest growing tech companies in the world, has tried extending their offering to yachts via their app in Dubai. The service, famous for its car transportation network displayed an UberYACHT tab to users located in Dubai.

So far, the service was only available one-off for users to participate in a 4-hour cruise near the Dubai Marina from 14:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 30th April. An 82$ fee (300Dh) included access to the boat with an unlimited number of drinks. It also included a trip to and from the marina in an Uber car. The event was sold out within a few hours.

At Uber, we are constantly innovating our services. We want to be more than just a leading global technology app, we want to provide experiences at the push of a button.

The UberYacht experiment is not the first one the company has undertaken in its effort to create events and experiences. A similar experiment was run in Cape Town in February 2015. In March 2015, the company experimented with UberYacht in Miami, organizing an event with several DJs during the cruise.
During the Cannes Film Festival, the company offered helicopter rides from Cannes to Nice through a tab named UberChopper. UberBoat was also part of the company's services during the Miami Art Week to help transport users between Miami Beach and the Art Districts.
