Two largest Feadship yachts to date: 101,5m Symphony and 99m Madame Gu were recently spotted together as they are moored in Barcelona, Spain. Symphony was delivered in May 2015 and then went on cruising the Mediterranean for her inaugural summer charter season. She is the first Feadship yacht to exceed the 100-metre mark, surpassing the builder's previous flagship, 99-metre Madame Gu.
The yacht features exterior design by legendary yacht designer Tim Heywood with naval architecture by Feadship's De Voogt Naval Architects.
Symphony is able to accommodate up to 20 guests in 6 staterooms, including one full-beam VIP cabin, double owner's stateroom and additional guest cabins on the lower deck.
The superyacht features a gym, a beauty salon and massage room and carries no less than three custom Pascoe tenders of 9.6, 8.3 and 7.85 metres, as well as two wave runners, two Seabobs, windsurfers, watersides and various inflatable toys. Her layout includes an observation lounge, bar and Jacuzzi on the sun deck, while the bridge deck features a terrace and outdoor cinema. The main deck hosts a six-metre contraflow, glass-bottom swimming pool with waterfall, and below the pool on the lower deck is a lounge, beach club and wellness centre, as well as an ultra-high-definition megayacht cinema.
The owner's deck boasts a full-beam stateroom, his-and-hers bathrooms, dressing rooms and a sauna, a private office and study, and a forward terrace with Jacuzzi. The owner's aft deck hosts al fresco dining for 20.
In terms of the performance, Symphony is able to reach a top speed of 22 knots and achieve a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
As for Madame Gu, she was delivered in 2013 after four years of construction. Andrew Winch is responsible for her exceptional design and her naval architecture is by De Voogt. With perfect proportions, it's hard to imagine that her tonnage exceeds 2,900 GRT.
The interior, also designed by Andrew Winch, accommodates twelve guests in six cabins. The crew quarters are composed of 18 cabins for 36 members. This twin screw superyacht is powered by quadruple 3,600kW MTU engines giving a top speed of 24 knots and a transatlantic range.
In 2014, Madame Gu was named Motor Yacht of the year during the World Superyacht Awards, which makes her one of the best Feadships around.
