#1. Ulysses

The photo shows Kleven 116-meter explorer Ulysses in Bremerhaven, Germany, where she is undergoing final outfitting before the delivery due by the end of the year. Her hull being already painted in a signature marine blue color, the mega-yacht emerges from a cocoon, protecting her superstructure.

The five-deck boat able to carry 66 guests onboard, was created in collaboration with the design house Marin Teknik from Norway, New Zealand-based Oscar Mike Naval Architects and British RWD studio. This is the second yacht named Ulysses built by the Norwegian commercial shipyard Kleven. Her 107-meter namesake was sold in October by her original owner, the richest man in New Zealand, Graeme Hart. Although the exact price of the deal has not been disclosed, it is known that the boat was asking $195 million. The new Ulysses is 10 meters longer than her sister, boasting a huge 18-meter beam. She will have a fully-certified superyacht helipad and diverse features of Rolls-Royce and Hareid Group, among other suppliers.

#2. Maltese Falcon

Taking her name after a film noir starring Humphrey Bogart, the award-winning Maltese Falcon was built by Perini Navi in 2006 for the late venture capitalist, Tom Perkins. With a revolutionary sailing system "the Falcon Rig", the yacht was the first of her kind to be seen on the market. Featuring overall length of 88 meters, she is often referred to as the largest sailing yacht in the world. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots.

Her current owner, Elena Ambrosiadou, the Greek founder of a Cyprus-based hedge fund, makes her available for charter from € 440.000 per week.

Delivered by Fincantieri in 2014, the 140-meter mega-yacht Ocean Victory boasts exterior design by Espen Oeino with interior spaces created by the late Alberto Pinto together with Sessa Romboli. Owned by billionaire steel magnate Viktor Rashnikov, one of the oligarchs shaping the yachting industry nowadays, Ocean Victory accommodates up to 36 guests. As with many other yachts of this size, she is packed with alluring features, such as 6 pools spread out over her 7 decks, an internal floodable dock to house her 14-meter tender, two helipads and a vast spa area.

Spotted this week in Monaco, the yacht was previously snapped in Rhodes, Greece, and in March she got involved in a tragic incident that occurred in Thailand.

#4. S/Y ‘A’

Photographed in Cyprus, the 142.8-meter sailing yacht ‘A’ by Nobiskrug is the largest sail-assisted motor yacht in the world.

She was built for Andrey Melnichenko to the design by Philippe Starck, who was also responsible for the Russian billionaire's M/Y A exterior. With masts taller than Big Ben at nearly 100 meters in height, S/Y A reaches a top speed of 20 knots without using her sails. She boasts a digital control system that has a touch-sensitive sheet of black glass, allowing the crew to raise and lower sails and the anchor with a simple swipe. Amongst the yacht's key features is also an underwater observation pod and a large swimming pool with a retractable roof located towards the bow of the boat.
