The Viken Group has chosen AES Yacht, based in Kocaeli, as its partner for the development of the Mimer expedition yacht project. The impressive Mimer is a 60-meter platform designed and developed by TDoS Yacht, a division of The Viken Group, with technical specifications prepared by AES Yacht.
The Viken Group's Commercial Director, Antonio Romano, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, highlighting the shipyard's capabilities and familiarity through previous projects. AES Yacht's extensive facilities in Turkey, along with their experienced naval architects and engineers, played a significant role in the decision.
The shipyard's ability to provide comprehensive in-house services, from construction to interior design, was also a determining factor. AES Yacht has available capacity and a construction timeline of 36 months upon signing a contract for the Mimer project.

The design approach for Mimer sets it apart, targeting younger clients looking for a family-friendly vessel or a platform to share with loved ones. Departing from traditional masculine designs, the yacht showcases Scandinavian simplicity and elegance. Mimer's size, at 60 meters, strikes the perfect balance between space for expedition tenders and toys while remaining cost-effective.
The design, led by TDoS, considered every aspect, from the abundant glazing to the crew-oriented layout, ensuring efficiency and functionality.
Mimer accommodates up to 12 guests in spacious suites and features ample entertaining spaces, including a sundeck, multiple saloons, dining areas, a gym, and a beach club. The yacht's exploration capabilities are carefully designed, offering a high-latitude hull built to Polar Code Category C, Ice 1-C standards.
Propulsion options include pod drives with diesel-electric generators or conventional engines and shaft drives, with ongoing studies exploring alternative power solutions. The Mimer project also embraces sustainable principles and materials, reflecting a commitment to environmental responsibility.
The Viken Group includes Tillberg Design of Sweden, Hot Lab and Thalia Marine. It has been established to gather leading and passionate companies, with similar ideas and business ethics, under one umbrella. This enables it to provide a full range of completely aligned and comprehensive design, naval architecture and project management services. All these proficiencies will be available to both cruise line and yacht clients, as well as to customers within hotel, resorts and private island developments.

ISA Yachts reveals the initial glimpses of the ISA Custom 80 meters as it embarks on its interior outfitting phase. Project Arwen is the latest masterpiece from Dörries Yachts, boasting an extravagant 114-meter length and an awe-inspiring 20-meter hydraulic swimming pool.This superyacht, commissioned by an American technology billionaire, epitomizes international collaboration. Designed by U.S. firm Píndaros, with contributions from French studio Champeau Wilde and British designer Andy Waugh, and naval architecture led by Dutch outfit Azure, Project Arwen is a testament to top-tier German engineering, constructed at Dörries' facilities in Bremerhaven, Germany.Project Arwen's centerpiece is undoubtedly its extraordinary infinity pool, spanning most of the aft deck. Combining almost four decades of design expertise with a quest for performance, the fourth hull was launched on April 20th.Spanning two main decks and a spacious sun deck, the Pershing 140 boasts an exterior design characterized by sleek lines, embodying Pershing's signature sporty personality. Noteworthy features like the side wings integrated into the superstructure and innovative design elements distinguish the Pershing 140 as a sought-after model in the market.The raised main deck offers direct access to the sun deck and houses a customized helm station with light grey tones complementing the exterior aluminum color.
