The Canados Gladiator 411 Carbon Series project was created with the US market in mind to offer a fully reliable, problem-free, 100-mph 41’ monohull. The idea behind the concept was to offer an alternative to the big power inboards with super reliable and silent Mercury 450R outboard engines that can be easily serviced anywhere in the world.

The entire project was engineered between Michel Karsenti, Canados’ President; four-times offshore powerboat world champion Simone Cesati, an expert in high-tech composite construction; and Albert Dalle Molle, a high-performance boat consultant.
Although it hasn’t yet been presented, the first 411 Carbon Series has been sold to a French client, the former owner of fast inboard offshore boats, desiring speed without the typical reliability issues and running costs of inboards.

The double stepped hull and deck are entirely made of custom woven carbon-fibre and Kevlar/epoxy and fitted with an integrated structural tail bracket to guarantee maximum strength, rigidity and impact resistance.
As a result, the hull finesse is such that, with an empty weight of 3,100 kg, the boat will be on average 30% lighter than any other boat of this type on the market.

This crucial aspect will only be seen on the dashboard, where all the usual old-fashioned gauges have been removed and replaced by a central Garmin® 22” display and two 9” Vessel Views.
Because the Gladiator 411 Carbon Series is not a boat for just anyone; she is equipped in such way that the steering wheel can be moved from one side to the other, making it possible to drive like a race boat, with a throttleman and a driver, or, if the owner wants to run her alone, he can move the helm to the other side.
The first Gladiator 411 Carbon Series will also be equipped with a cabin with a 2 × 3.10-m bed.
Powered with twin Mercury Racing 450R with Speedmaster lower units, she will be capable of 88 knots/100 mph top speed with a continuous cruising speed of 70 knots, making the trip from Saint-Tropez to Cannes in just over 20 minutes.

In its triple-engine configuration, the 411 Gladiator will top well above 115 mph.
Canados was founded in the 1940s. The shipyard, headquartered in Rome, builds luxury, semi-custom composite yachts from 23.46 to 36 meters in length.
