The Overmarine Group has announced the sale of the 12th Mangusta 165 hull. The successful series was first introduced to the industry in 2007, with the first hull, Force India delivered later that same year. According to the shipyard, the 165 E range contains the most resent style and technical innovations, featuring the classic Mangusta lines and the signature curved superstructure windows. Although the performance of the propulsion system is similar to previous Mangusta models, consumption on the 165 is considerably lower.
"Over the past few years we have established ourselves more and more as a leader in our sector; namely that of large, open semi-custom yachts," said Overmarine Group's commercial director Francesco Frediani.
The owner has already entered into consultation with the Overmarine Group's artistic office to decide on the interior layout, furnishings and decor.
Performance wise, the vessel is fitted with four 2600 horsepower MTU 16V2000 M94 engines and four Rolls Royce/Kamewa NP waterjets, which combine to power the yacht to a maximum speed of more than 40 knots.
Although the performance of the propulsion system is similar to previous Mangusta models, consumption on the 165 is considerably lower.
Delivery of the 12th hull is expected in 2017.
