Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design have presented a new concept of a 180m superyacht that is designed from the middle out, challenging a traditional linear set up. First shown at the Monaco Yacht Show, "Symmetry was the most developed, detailed and designed concept yacht presented at MYS 2015" according to the design agency.
"The yacht's layout is created by symmetrically building up from the center, instead of using the traditional linear set up. Functions on the decks are organized around the central void with an intuitive logic. The symmetrical shape of the hull allows for a bi-directional course at sea, tight maneuvers and pivoting, ensuring comfortable tender transfers on the lee side of the lower deck"s mid-ship Beach Lounge." said Sander Sinot.
"It was our aim to create a synergetic balance of functionality, beauty, engineering and design. Symmetry reflects a genuine owner-centered philosophy of the yacht as a custom-designed private estate, moving freely over the world"s oceans, offering an abundance of space to welcome beloved ones to indulge, work, play and enjoy life."
The yacht has been planned to be stretched across six decks with a beam of 29 meters and an interior volume space of over 18 000 gross tones. All six of these decks are set to have a separate function in this design with a Beach deck, containing a seawater pool/float-in tender bay, a guest deck with a mid-ship pool with glass bottom and several VIP rooms with lounges and private balconies. The Hotel deck located above features a spa dinning area, garden, gym and yet another 17m+ pool. Finally, the Owner"s deck contains all of his accommodations, office, sky lounge and private library.
A feasibility study has been conducted on the project by BMT Nigel Gee who has confirmed the possibility to construct this yacht with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. The yacht"s maximum speed is estimated to reach 20.1 knots.
