Suntex Marina Investors, the largest recreational marina owner in the US, has completed the acquisition of Almar Marinas, a prominent marina management company based on the west coast. This merger combines Almar's owned marinas and management services with Suntex Marinas, enhancing the company's coastal presence and service offerings.
Founded in 1974, Almar Marinas boasts a portfolio of eight owned marinas spanning California's coast from Marina Del Rey to Oakland. Additionally, Almar manages nine marinas in California and Hawaii on behalf of third-party owners.

Bryan Redmond, CEO of Suntex Marinas, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating, "Our core principles are entirely focused on delivering a world-class hospitality experience to every marina customer." He emphasized the alignment of values between Suntex and Almar, highlighting the shared commitment to customer satisfaction and community engagement.
Randy Short, CEO at Almar, echoed Redmond's sentiments, emphasizing the importance of marinas as multifaceted destinations. "Suntex absolutely knows this and practices those philosophies every day," Short stated, underscoring the shared vision for creating exceptional experiences for boaters and the public alike.
The merged entities include prominent marinas such as Marina Del Rey Marina and Peninsula Yacht Marina in California. Subject to government approvals, the merger will also include four marina properties in Oakland within the next 60 days.
With this strategic acquisition, Suntex Marinas strengthens its presence across the US, further solidifying its position as a leader in the recreational marine industry.
