UK-based shipyard Sunseeker reveals plans to launch its smallest flybridge model for over a decade, the new Manhattan 52, in Summer 2016.
The innovative new 52 foot (15.84m) model sets a new benchmark for the smaller flybridge format. Designed to maximize entertainment options, light and living space throughout, its hull incorporates unparalleled amounts of curved glass.
Throughout the main deck there is a strong focus on creating easy to use sociable spaces. Its layout flows effortlessly from the spacious bow seating and sunbathing area – a unique feature for a boat in this class – to the cockpit space and upper aft galley. The open layout continues right through to the well-equipped bathing platform and transom, where an optional barbecue, full shower and range of other features can be found.
The galley doubles up as a bar and opens up the whole main deck as an entertainment space, with hinged glass doors opening upwards and outwards to create a unique inside/outside environment for owners to enjoy hosting family and friends. The reconfigured helm seating area is another new feature which provides space for entertaining and socializing.
Thanks to the galley being situated on the main deck, there is space for three very large cabins below deck. The master cabin is a real standout feature for a boat of this size, with full height headroom all the way around the bed.
Powered by Volvo Penta D11-725 engines on shaft drive or Volvo Penta IPS-950, the Manhattan 52 can cruise comfortably at 24 knots with a cruising range of 250 nautical miles or achieve 33 knots at full throttle.
Sean Robertson, Sales Director at Sunseeker International, said:
We’re really looking forward to launching the new Manhattan 52 later this year. Following on from three much larger models being launched this Spring, this flybridge option makes an important statement about Sunseeker’s plans for the future. It underlines our ability to keep giving our customers the best in class across every segment we operate in
The Manhattan 52 will debut at Cannes Yachting Festival from 6th to 11th September 2016.
