Sunreef Yachts is set to construct the Sunreef 88 Ultima catamaran for Tim Ciasulli, renowned former US national and world champion in offshore powerboat racing, and holder of four world speed records. 



Representing the first Ultima yacht sale in the United States, this hybrid luxury super catamaran is part of Sunreef Yachts' latest lineup, the Ultima line, offering catamarans ranging from 44 to 88 feet, seamlessly blending speed, luxury, and energy efficiency.

With a racing career spanning over four decades, Tim Chiasulli, boasting over 300 races and 100 victories, brings unparalleled expertise to high-performance multihulls. As an avid yachtsman and five-time monohull superyacht owner, he sought the perfect fusion of comfort, speed, and efficiency. 



Collaborating with Sunreef Yachts, the result is the Sunreef 88 Ultima, a powerful hybrid catamaran embodying his passion for speed and desire for superyacht luxury. The Sunreef 88 Ultima boasts expansive living space and a performance-oriented design.

Candela To Launch a Fleet of Electric Foiling Yachts to the Red Sea
The Swedish shipyard Candela released an announce that a fleet consisting of eight P-12 electric foilers will be rolled out to the Red Sea and will help commuters get around a new tourism destination: they will help forming a water network around NEOM, that is currently being built off the coast of Saudi Arabia.Announced in June 2022 and launched in November 2023, the P-12 is the fourth model in Candela’s fleet, following the C-7, C-8, and P-8 Voyager that debuted in 2020, 2021, and 2022. (The yard also launched a C-8 Polestar Edition in July.) The zero-emission 39-footer “flies” above the waves using computer-guided hydrofoils that are adjusted 100 times per second to ensure smoothness and stability.P-12 is equipped with two electric C-POD motors and four 63 kWh batteries, giving it a top speed of 30 knots and a range of 40 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 25 knots. The yacht also creates a minimal wake and is well-suited to coastal cruising. New Atlantique 37m To Be Constructed by Columbus Yachts
Columbus Yachts has begun the self-financed construction of a new Columbus Atlantique 37 vessel at the Savona shipyard. The yacht is built entirely of aluminum and will join the first Columbus Atlantique 37m unit and the Columbus Crossover 42m, already in production at Palumbo Superyachts Savona.Columbus Atlantique 37 is compact (299 GT) and has a sporty line that complements its refined interiors. The layout includes 4 double cabins with private bathroom located below deck, a master cabin at the bow of the main deck that comes complete with a fixed terrace, double-sink bathroom, large central shower and walk-in closet.There are two dining areas, one outdoor on the main deck and the other one on the upper deck seating up to 10 people. The peculiarity of the latter are the large rounded windows, with up/down and sliding movement to encourage contact with the sea as much as possible.The exterior and interior designed by Hot Lab, while the naval engineering is by the shipyard. The design is a combination of stylistic, planning and functional elements dedicated to traveling by sea. Great interaction of the on-board spaces with the marine environment, the external lines are clean and elegant, with a touch of sportiness.The hull silhouette is reminiscent of old-time sailing yachts and the stern area, with its panoramic pool, is just 50 cm above sea level.The garage is placed on the starboard side and houses both a 5.03-meter tender and the rescue boat.Columbus Atlantique 37 has a semi-planing hull and thanks to 2 MAN 2000hp engines it can reach a maximum speed of 22 knots and cruising at 19 knots.This new superyacht scheduled for delivery in 2027. 27m Canados Yacht Manta Sinks Off Corsica After Striking Reef
The 27-meter Canados motor yacht Manta has sunk off the coast of Corsica, France, after striking a reef on August 15, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. local time near the Senetosa lighthouse, located in the southern part of the island.Local authorities and rescue teams responded swiftly to the emergency after Manta hit the shallow reef. All 11 people aboard were safely rescued, and no injuries were reported, though the passengers were understandably shaken by the event.The rescue operation was carried out by a team of 17 responders, including three divers and one medical assistant. They arrived at the scene using a sailboat, a catamaran, and vessels from the rescue association "Le Sauveteurs en Mer – Centre Snsm Propriano." By the time they reached Manta, the yacht was already half-submerged. Despite their efforts, the yacht eventually sank completely in shallow waters. The passengers were transferred to rescue RIBs and brought safely back to shore.According to local reports, passengers aboard Manta indicated that the yacht’s satellite navigation system failed to detect the reef.Manta, a yacht from the Canados 86 series, was delivered in 2016. The vessel had a beam of 6.45 metres and could accommodate up to eight guests across four staterooms. Both the exterior and interior design, as well as the naval architecture, were handled in-house by the Italian shipyard. Harvey, who brings 21 years of experience in the marine industry, will be responsible for supporting the company’s continued growth within the power catamaran sector.Harvey previously worked at Groupe Beneteau, where he contributed to the development of various brands across Europe and the United States. His expertise in expanding dealer networks and managing international operations is expected to play a significant role in Aquila’s global growth strategy. Northrop & Johnson has announced the sale of the Benetti Legend 85 yacht Rose of Kingston II. Yacht Broker Ed Dickinson represented the seller, with the yacht's last asking price at €2,200,000.Rose of Kingston II is part of the Benetti Legend 85 series, designed by Stefano Righini, with interiors by Zuretti. The yacht features a GRP hull and is powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines, enabling a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 13 knots. With a range of 1,500 nautical miles, the yacht is equipped for long-range voyages.The yacht offers accommodation for up to 10 guests across four staterooms, including a spacious master suite on the main deck and a full-beam VIP suite on the lower deck.
