Scout is a 63.72 m luxury expedition yacht. Built by Hakvoort in the Netherlands at their Monnickendam shipyard in 2018, she was delivered to her owner last year. Now she was seen anchored off Martha’s Vineyard.
Scout features a displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks.
Her top speed is 14.8 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 4800 nautical miles at 12.0 knots with power coming from two Caterpillar 3512-C diesel engines. Scout was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules and is MCA Compliant.
With a beam of 11.6 metres and a draft of 3.25 metres, the motor yacht can accommodate guests in 6 cabins on the main deck. The crew accommodation can be found on the lower deck. Each room has a unique nautical design with neutral palette.
The owner’s brief was to create a boat inspired "by the iconic 1950s movie, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," according to the yacht’s builder, Hakvoort. This was completely accomplished and Scout is "a strong vintage maritime aesthetic" that is "authentic to the owner’s vision".
