Italian designer Roberto Curtó has presented his latest superyacht concept named Hypnosquid. The 63.2-metre project was inspired by sea life, especially by elegant though agile nature of the cuttlefish.
Roberto Curto’s design brand makes its specialty in marine design, along with interiors, domestic products, furniture, cars and motor bikes. The new concept with aluminium hull and superstructure was developed in collaboration with brokerage company SuperYachtsMonaco. According to the latter, the design has attracted attention of several Northern European shipyards.
Hypnosquid’s main exterior trademark are naturally her coloured LED windows, dotting across the main deck. They are conceived to represent Hypnosquid’s eyes. Other glass windows should ensure bright saloon interiors.
The vessel of a 13.7-metre beam and a 2.9-metre draft would feature interior volume of 1,050 GT. She would offer accommodation to up to 10 guests, with a “Duplex” master suite. The owner’s bedroom is laid upstairs, with a library and lounge zone moved downstairs. What is more, the suite would encompass a full beam lobby and a garden. The lower deck meanwhile would host guest cabins.
The yacht’s main deck is trademarked with full-beam lounge and game area designed for poker game sessions.
The upper deck would fit a wheelhouse along with wellness area, including gym, open-air solarium and massage centre, along with cinema room. On the top of the boat, there is another wellness zone with Jacuzzi and forward-facing sunbeds.
Powered by four 16V 2000 M96L engines, the yacht would boast a top speed of 30 knots and cruising speed of 18 knots, along with a range of 3,000 nautical miles, enabling transatlantic crossings.
The yacht’s building period is estimated at 24-30 months, with estimated price of € 65 – 70 million.
