Turkish shipyard, Sarp Yachts is set to build a new range of hybrid yachts. The XSR range will consist of three sizes: the XSR 85, 105 and 125. Red Yacht Design handled both the interior and the exterior design of all three models, with the first model in the range, the 25.7-metre XSR 85 to be launched in early 2019.
All three vessels share distinctive design features, including superyacht wheelhouse windscreen and extensive use of glazing throughout and all-GRP construction. Floor to ceiling windows is found throughout the XSR range to enhance the connection with the ocean.
Our brand new concept yacht family, XSR, will be built with the parallel hybrid propulsion systems; the best alternative for the fossil fuels. The hybrid propulsion system enables you to avoid the noise, vibrations, emissions and expense of running your diesel generators at anchor.
The 32-metre XSR 105 will accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 cabins, including a full beam owner’s suite and a full beam VIP cabin. She'd be able to reach a maximum speed of 20 knots and cruise comfortably at 15 knots, with a range of 900 nm.
The 38.2-metre XSR 125 will accommodate up to 12 guests and carry the crew of 4. Her highlights are flexible saloon with freestanding furniture and sliding doors, as well as private terrace and sauna in owner’s suite. A cruising speed of 14 knots offers a range of 1,800 nm.
All three vessels attracted considerable interest at the recent MYS, both the 32-meter XSR 105 and the 38-meter XSR 125 are currently in the design pipeline.
