The 61m ocean-going explorer Project YN 251 was launched Royal Hakvoort Shipyard’s facility in Monnickendam, the Netherlands. The motor yacht features both exterior and interior design by Sinot Yacht Design.
“The continuous flow and balance in the interior is something you can really feel when you step onboard. Without a doubt, the most exciting feature in YN 251s design is the immense ceiling heights – a specific request from the owner. At 2.3 and 2.4 meters in the domes on both the main deck and the owner’s deck, it’s a great achievement for a 61m yacht,” says Paul Costerus, Partner at Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
The Sinot Yacht Design has created a clean and classic interior focusing on textures and natural elements, including oak, walnut and premium leather detailing.
YN 251 can accommodate up to 12 guests and a crew of 19. Five guest cabins are located on the main deck, with an impressive full-beam suite taking the spotlight on the designated owner’s deck. The owner’s suite is flooded with light from large windows and a skylight and features a private dining area and hot tub on the foredeck.
She was made by a passionate owner who wants an ocean-going explorer with impressive capabilities. Her top speed is 14.7 knots and a cruising speed of 12.7 knots. She has an autonomous range of 3,800 nm at 12 knots.
YN 251 also has a large tender and an impressive amount of water toys.
It is the seventh project that Hakvoort has sold in cooperation with Moran Yacht & Ship, while the hull of project no. 8 YN 253 Asia is underway at the shipyard.
YN 251 will stay at the Hakvoort quayside for completion till mid-June, where she will then be towed to Amsterdam and enter the dock at Oranjewerf for final completion and delivery in early summer. Upon delivery, she will explore the Baltics before completing her first Atlantic crossing.
