The Ferretti Group has officially announced the construction of the Riva 70 Metri, marking the launch of the largest flagship superyacht in Riva's history. With over 180 years of illustrious challenges and triumphs, Riva continues to embody elegance within the modern yachting landscape.
The Riva 70 Metri is distinguished by its cutting-edge technology, exquisite design, and unmatched comfort. Featuring innovative spatial configurations, sleek lines, a steel hull, and an aluminum superstructure, this superyacht marries superb performance with environmental sustainability. It incorporates advanced hybrid propulsion, heat recovery technology, and a PTO/PTI system, establishing a new benchmark for eco-friendly yacht manufacturing. Additionally, significant attention has been dedicated to onboard acoustic comfort, utilizing pioneering methods to minimize noise and vibration, while enhancing the stabilization system.
The visionary owner, a devoted Riva enthusiast, collaborated closely with the design team to bring this dream vessel to life. The result is a superyacht that embodies the harmonious design ethos of Officina Italiana Design, established by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, alongside the guidance of the Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the engineering team at Ferretti Group.
“Riva 70 Metri is set to redefine exhilarating experiences in the years ahead. This superyacht, with its timeless allure, elevates the iconic style and detailing of Riva into a whole new realm, harmonizing it with state-of-the-art navigation and eco-sustainable technologies,” stated Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. “As a testament to style, design, and innovation, this stunning flagship will lead the new fleet of Riva masterpieces with regal elegance.”
“The discerning owner had a specific vision: to create a classic yet timeless vessel with a commitment to sustainability—cruising in a manner that honors the sea. Inspired by the Riva 50 Metri, he sought a design that transcends aesthetic trends and market pressures. We embraced this challenge with passion and determination, as these ideals resonate with our firm’s core values and design philosophy,” commented Mauro Micheli, Chief Designer, and Sergio Beretta, CEO of Officina Italiana Design.
The Riva 70 Metri will be constructed at the Riva Superyachts Division in Ancona, a cutting-edge shipyard covering nearly 80,000 square meters, dedicated to the construction of yachts ranging from 50 to 90 meters in length.
