Quick Group, a global leader in nautical equipment and owned by Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR, Armònia SGR, and the Marzucco family, has taken a significant stride in its supply chain consolidation project with the acquisition of XENTA Systems S.r.l. The deal involves obtaining 100% ownership of XENTA, renowned for its specialized development and production of integrated control systems for yachts and superyachts.
XENTA, founded in 2004 in Rome, brings advanced expertise in sophisticated software development, enhancing on-board hardware intelligence, and connectivity for optimized boat maneuvering and navigation. Specializing in electronic diesel, electric, and hybrid propulsion control systems, electronic steering systems, maneuvering systems, position-holding systems, stability control systems, and remote control, XENTA plays a pivotal role in the shaft line propulsion segment for boats exceeding 60 feet.
This strategic acquisition is expected to bolster Quick Group's technological development, enabling the provision of integrated solutions for boat control and stabilization. Stefano Bertazzoni and Lorenzo Mongiardo, shareholders of XENTA, will reinvest in Quick, ensuring managerial continuity and stimulating technological innovation within the Group.
Michele Marzucco, CEO of Quick, underscores the significance of this acquisition, marking a strategic opportunity for innovative and efficient solutions in the nautical industry. The move aligns with Quick Group's path of expansion and consolidation, initiated with the acquisition of Sanguineti earlier this year, aiming to establish a comprehensive 'one-stop-shop' for international shipbuilding with cutting-edge technology.
