Launched on July 6th in the United States, Pokemon Go has become a widespread phenomenon amongst kids and grown-ups alike. The game that combines augmented reality with one of the world's most popular gaming franchises has already boosted Nintendo's market cap by over 10 billion dollars.

Pokemon Go has gotten near 8.5 million downloads in the US in its first week, topping all-time installs for popular dating app, Tinder and reaching 10.8% of smartphones in America. The game then went on to obtaining more daily active users than Twitter and more engagement than Facebook with players spending an average of half an hour per day within the game. Even though it has yet to be officially released in European App Stores, everyone is playing and, most interestingly, the game has even reached yachts.

In the previous versions of Pokemon, players had to explore a virtual world, from the comfort of their own home. With Pokemon Go however, players have to actually go outside to catch them all!

As it turns out, yachts are a perfect mode of transportation to explore various PokeStops and capture water-type Pokemons.

With the charter season now well underway and Pokemon Go acquiring more and more users, it is only a matter of time before tenders are dispatched on Pokemon-hunting expeditions in this newest form of on board entertainment.
