Builders of the 77m Yersin, Piriou, have presented a new support vessel range that will come in 3 different models. The yard says the range is meant to discharge yachts from all space consuming items. Following the introduction of the Sea Axe series by Damen group, support vessels have started being announced by different players in the industry. One of the most suited shipyards for the task is perhaps the Piriou yard which has delivered over 400 ships worldwide up to 120 meters in length for industrial use. The new range features 3 different models, all with unrestricted navigation classifications.
The smallest yacht of its new range is the 40m YSV 40, capable of carrying several tenders as well as catering events with a 170 square meters deck and accomodating extra guests with one VIP cabin that can match standards of the mother yacht according to the shipyard.
The YSV 53, also based on the Fast passenger and supply vessel hull the yard had previously produced. With a length of 53.45m, the support vessel can cruise for 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 17 knots. It's external space has been extended to 300 square meters and an additional VIP cabin has been added to its layout.
Finally, the largest support vessel of the range is YSV 63 at a length of 62.5 meters and with a beam of 12.5m. Capable of cruising for 5,000 nautical miles at 17 knots. With a different superstructure, the yacht can accommodate a wide array of tenders, vehicles in interior storage on her main deck as well as host a helicopter on her upper deck.
