Meduse, previously marketed for sale by Fraser Yachts, has now been sold at an asking price of $25,000,000. The 60m yacht entered the market place in February 2012 and was then asking $34,500,000.



Meduse was famously part of Paul Allen's personal fleet which still includes the 126m Octopus and 92m Tatoosh.  The 46.9m Charade (now renamed to BG) which was sold in August 2014 at an asking price of $13,900,000 by Northrop & Johnson was also previously part of his fleet.



Mr. Allen also tried selling Tatoosh, listing her for sale in 2010 with Fraser Yachts at an asking price of $160,000,000. She was however taken off the market in 2014.

Built by Dutch shipyard, Feadship in 1996, Meduse was refitted in 2011 with a comprehensive rebuild of her engines. Accommodating 13 guests in 7 cabins, the yacht features a large main salon on the main deck with a piano. Aft of the deck is a sitting area with two tables for six guests each.



The skylounge is planned as a music recording studio with a skylight on the bar and sitting area. On the sundeck are located large sun pads as well as a Jacuzzi and extensive sitting area under a hard top. Other features include a helipad and private cinema.

From a technical standpoint, Meduse is powered by twin CAT engines of 1,710hp each, giving the yacht a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a maximum range of 5,380 nautical miles. Meduse carries a crew of 15.

Last year M/Y A, which is reportedly for sale at $300 million, has been spotted in such cities as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Kiel, Bordeaux, off the Reykjavik coast in Iceland and cruising in the French Riviera. Now the most talked-about yacht on the seas has been seen in Monaco.M/Y A was built by Blohm+Voss in 2008. Designed by Philippe Starck, she is capable of accommodating 14 guests in 7 luxurious cabins, as well as a crew of 42. With a meticulous attention to detail, A's interior uses wood furniture with natural light to create a unique style. Amongst her many impressive features are the 3 spa pools, complete with current-generating technology, positioned on various decks for the guests' entertainment.One of the yacht's highlights is perhaps the glass roof under one of the spa pools that allows a mixture of natural light with water. Performance wise she is powered by twin MAN engines of 6,035hp each and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 19 knots.Andrey Melnichenko, one of the Russian billionaires shaping the yachting industry nowadays, reportedly spent around $380 million on the vessel. Yachting Developments Hull 1015 entering final stage of construction
Hull 1015, the 38.7m sportsfisher in build at New Zealand yard Yachting Developments, is now entering its final stages of construction. On 8 April 2017 the yacht’s impressive superstructure left its construction bay before being returned to the shed to be joined to the hull and for completion work. ​The motor yacht, being built for a passionate fisherman and experienced yacht owner, is on a scale never seen before in sportsfishers and will be the largest all-carbon sportsfisher in the world on her delivery. Delivery for Hull 1015 is set for the third quarter of 2017. Naval architecture and exterior design is by Michael Peters Yacht Design, with interior styling by the owners and the yard team. Interior work is being produced by Yachting Developments’ specialist in-house interior team, with structural engineering and design also by Yachting Developments.​It is always gratifying to see a project start coming together in its finished form and this transformational stage of the build of Hull 1015 is a tangible reminder of what a unique and exciting project this is. Amels launches 55m superyacht Lili
The Dutch shipyard has launched the brand new Amels 180 named Lili. The Limited Editions yacht is nearing her on-time and on-budget delivery at Amels yard in the Netherlands. Imperial acted as broker for the sale, Owner’s Representative and Construction Supervisor.Despite the fast delivery just over 12 months after her sale in May 2016, Lili is a highly customized Limited Editions yacht with Tim Heywood exterior styling and custom extended sun deck. It also hosts 4-metre sun deck pool with counter current jets for swimming. As for the main deck, it features a large VIP Suite with a private folding balcony.The largest Amels superyacht to date is Here Comes The Sun, which emerged at its facility in Vlissingen at the end of June 2016. Since then she completed her sea trials and left the Netherlands for international waters in January 2017.
Explorer yacht Rock under construction at Evadne Yachts
Dutch design company Vripack has unveiled details about explorer yacht Rock, currently under construction at Evadne Yachts. Although she is 24 meters, the yacht has 170 m² interior space with 140 m² exterior area. She is able to service 8 guests at the same time and the owner cabin arranged into main deck with panoramic view windows. Thanks to Vripack's super displacement hull, she is a seaworthy vessel for open sea cruising. Rock is also a green boat with Mastervolt lithium ion batteries. With this system she doesn't need to run generators during nights. All night long, air condition and stabilizer systems also able to work with lithium ion batteries. ​She is also an assertive yacht to being safest pleasure craft under 24 m. Sprinkler system is responsible of interior fire safety and FM200 is protecting whole engine space. Central bilge and fire fighting systems are her other advantages.​She is an innovative yacht with using latest technology. All systems onboard are able to controlled by wireless alarm monitoring system. Humphree's innovative fin stabilizers and interceptors are helping her to being more stabile during underway and anchor.
CCN launches 50m superyacht Elsea
CCN has launched 50m aluminium yacht Elsea today. This project has been penciled by design firm Studio Bacigalupo, while the interiors are by Studio Vafiadis, with Imperial acting as Owner’s Representative, Construction Supervisor and Manager during the build and after the delivery.Elsea, which features an aluminum semi-planning hull, can ensure a maximum speed of 27 knots and cruising speed of 18 knots thanks to 3x MTU engines 16V2000M94. The layout reserves large areas for conviviality, both on the main deck - where the living and dining areas, as well as the full-beam master cabin, can be found- and on the upper deck, which is entirely devoted to life in the open air.The interiors are intended to be a tribute to the fine “deco” design developed with a key of modernity. Onboard we find five comfortable cabins, plus very spacious owner’s: a “one of a kind” private apartment in terms of richness and attention to the detail, as well as 2 different salons. The first on the main deck is more formal and has also a very spacious dining table for twelve people. The other one on the upper deck, that can be also used as a cinema, has a very warm and cozy touch.Elsea has a very fresh and outdoor oriented soul, giving an informal allure to the boat. The style of this area is very Mediterranean, taking inspiration from the French Riviera, like for example the external salons or the beach club, with a bar and a day toilet, plus an audio system with loud speakers. Just right out of the upper salon one can find an external area that serves as a party lounge with a central custom jacuzzi decorated with mosaics inside. Around the pool is a collection of sun beds and comfortable seating areas.Great attention is also paid to light that underlines the shapes of the furniture pieces, most of them customized, both with spot light, and also with LED stripes that enriches the interiors.Italian shipyard Cerri Cantiere Navali are currently working on its new K Series explorer yacht, 41 metre Kanga. Floating Life, who are managing the project, announced the sale of the yacht in 2015 and the build started in January 2016.
