Palumbo Superyachts announces the timely completion of its new shed at the Ancona facility, marking a remarkable feat in construction efficiency. The ambitious project, initiated in April, culminated in the establishment of a cutting-edge shed with dimensions of 19 meters in width, 60 meters in length, and 19 meters in height. This purpose-built structure is dedicated to the meticulous outfitting of superyachts.
This new addition complements the existing three sheds within the expansive 52,000 sq. m Palumbo Superyachts Ancona production site. In addition to the adept team focused on new yacht constructions, the shipyard benefits from an experienced squad providing after-sales maintenance and refit services for used boats. Alongside its skilled workforce and dock capabilities, the shipyard boasts a 560-ton travel lift and a 3300-ton superyacht lifting platform, the largest in the Adriatic Sea to date.
Currently, the Ancona facility is bustling with activity, with 10 superyachts from 30 to 80 meters under construction, representing the Extra Yachts, Columbus, and ISA Yachts lines.
Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts, expressed enthusiasm about the completed shed, stating, "With the completion of the new shed, we are enhancing our logistical and production efficiency. We are consistently exploring new areas adjacent to our construction site with a sea view to optimize our order management. The positive trend in the entire nautical industry, particularly in the Marche Region, encourages substantial investments by companies in their respective territories. The activation of a regional round table holds great promise, and I am confident that the entire nautical sector will significantly benefit from it."
Palumbo Superyachts began to take root in 2008, when the Columbus Yachts brand was established, and in 2011 launched its first 54 meter superyacht, emblematically christened “Prima” (“the First”). Currently, Palumbo Superyachts comprises a representative office in Monaco and a logistics network of five shipyards in the Mediterranean (Ancona, Malta, Marseille, Naples, and Savona), and also operates the following brands: ISA Yachts, Extra Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine and Palumbo SY Refit.
