Italian builder Palumbo Superyachts revealed their latest motor yacht Dragon, rolling her out at the company’s Ancona facility. She is to become the largest vessel in the yard’s history, with her launch scheduled later this year.
The yacht with interior volume of 2,100 GT is featured with steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Her exterior design concept, as well as naval architecture was developed by Italian company Hydro Tec who is currently working on 100-metre superyacht concept Crossbow.
Dragon’ sundeck is equipped with a six-metre swimming pool featured with waterfall cascade. The yacht’s beach club can boast a sauna as well as hammam and foldable side platforms. A side-loading tender storage is situated midships, with capacity for two tenders, with a 9,5-metre custom tender currently constructed by ISA Yachts, that will reflect the mothership’s style.
Dragon’s accommodation capacity makes up to 12 guests within four double suites and a VIP-suite fitted with a private lounge zone, covering full beam. The master suite with panoramic view is situated at the upper-deck, as well as a helipad. The owners would also have a private lounge area, a spacious office and a sauna at their disposal at the upper-deck. As to crew members, Dragon can accommodate up to 19.
In the meantime, the yacht’s interior design was elaborated by Francesco Guida Design. Although no images have become available so far, the interior hallmarks will reportedly embrace light and dark oak panels, parquet floor made of American walnut, Traventine marbles of moonlight and natural colours, satin-gold door handles and agate backlit surface used for beach club.
Dragon is not the only project Palumbo Superyachts are currently working on. It has been recently reported, that the hull of their 50-metre Columbus S50 scheduled for 2020 delivery has been joined to her superstructure at the same yard in Ancona. All in all, the technical platform designed by Hydro Tec is to be adapted to further over-75-metre-LOA Polumbo Superyachts projects.
