The French-based Ocea shipyard has just begun the construction of a new 32.7m yacht. She will be the tenth motor yacht built by Ocea. Like all her predecessors she will be completely custom built. In the spirit of all Ocea yachts, this aluminium ocean-going yacht will also be capable of circumnavigations in optimal comfort and safety.

Reducing the boat’s environmental footprint, in particular its greenhouse gas emissions, was the guiding principle behind the entire design. As a result, this will be the first Ocea yacht with engines that meet IMO Tier III emission standards, allowing it to sail in Emission Control Areas defined by the International Maritime Organization.

The yacht will also be equipped with the latest generation of batteries to keep the main on-board comfort features running at night without the need for generators. She will be able to reach a top speed of 15 knots with a range of 4000 miles at 10 knots.

The Ocea Group has three production sites on the French Atlantic coast – in Les Sables-d’Olonne, Saint-Nazaire and La Rochelle – as well as a location in Fontenay-le-Comte. The Ocea shipyard is a part of a Ocea Group and pioneer in aluminium shipbuilding. Capable of producing all types of vessels – catamarans, monohulls, displacement hulls, semi-planing hulls, and planing hulls – up to 90 meters long, Ocea Shipbuilding delivers 15 to 20 units every year.
