During the Monaco Yacht Show 2016 French shipyard Ocea has introduced the Oceanemo 55 - the latest addition to the Oceanemo series - the range of Sport Utility Yachts designed by Fulvio De Simoni.



After the success of the 33m and 44m models, the design phase of the largest sport utility Yacht in the range has come to its conclusion, and Monte Carlo saw the debut of the yacht.

 "It is probably one of the most beautiful and smartest boats I've ever designed," said the award-winning Italian designer Fulvio De Simoni. 
But it’s not just my merit, I must admit. It’s the very concept of the Sport Utility Yacht that initiated this line of thought: a free stern, the majestic superstructure and an important bow are all typical features of the Oceanemo that work together making the lines of this series so beautiful and pleasing to the eye. Never before have we seen a boat of this size able to offer so much space not only for guests but also for transporting and storing accessories, vehicles and water toys for the leisure time of the Owner, family members and guests. Obviously, the judgment is subjective, but, from a design point of view,  I find that the volumes and the unusual shapes that characterize the 55 are perfectly in harmony with each other and certainly advantage this great yacht!

She further develops the guiding concept of the smaller models - 33m and 44m - well summarized in the definition of Sport Utility Yacht. The idea of going to sea on a yacht that goes further than a more traditional yacht, supporting a different kind of lifestyle than that permitted by the more traditional vessel, and based on a concept idealized by Aldo Manna -  Yacht Developer and Partner with Ocea since 2005 – and aimed at fulfilling the needs of today's Owners. This concept was then developed by Fulvio De Simoni for Ocea. 



In relatively small external spaces, the yacht can accommodate a large amount of tenders, water-toys and accessories all aimed improving leisure time when at sea. The use of space, the allocation of volumes and the design of dedicated and personalized equipment makes every Oceanemo model unique and one of a kind. All this without jeopardizing those "traditional spaces" dedicated to the Owner and his guests.



The yacht is at the top of its range and offers in just 55 meters length and six decks, the ultimate in comfort, relaxation and the luxury of being able to embark a huge amount of water toys and amenities. A luxury that is not limited only to comfortable spaces on board, fully customized to the Owner's specification, but also the possibility of going deep diving with a sub, on an exciting trip with a completely equipped fishing boat, having fun with custom inflatable water toys and slides, water-jets and other toys, having your own personal vehicle embarked so you can go and explore the surrounding area, flying off on your own seaplane. 



The heart of the Oceanemo 55m project lies aft. Fulvio de Simoni has succeeded in the difficult task of obtaining two ample spaces dedicated to toys: a covered hangar of 105 m2 and a raised deck of almost 130 m2 that permit the transport of all kinds of vehicles.



Guests onboard also have access to a beach area of 45 square meters in the stern area and at water's edge and a 42 square meter covered veranda for moments of privacy or bad weather.

The Owner can enjoy their privacy thanks to a dedicated apartment that encompasses over 65 square meters of pure comfort.



The spirit of freedom is further emphasized by the technical choices available for propulsion. Upon request, the vessel can be equipped with a hybrid powertrain, with diesel or electric motors. These systems are entirely designed by the Ocea shipyard, with its strong consolidated know-how acquired over decades in the design of military ships. The hybrid propulsion system increases navigation possibilities and minimizes the impact on the environment, further proof of the validity of the Sport Utility Yacht concept.

XPD 46 Launched by Technohull
Technohull has introduced the XPD 46, the first model in its new Expedition Series, designed for year-round, all-weather cruising. Numarine Delivers New 37XP Explorer Yacht to Owner
Northrop & Johnson has announced the delivery of a new Numarine 37XP explorer yacht to its owner. The vessel, sold by yacht broker Richard Higgins at the end of 2022, represents a significant addition to Numarine’s expanding 37XP Series.The 37-meter yacht is designed for long-range cruising and offers impressive performance capabilities. It features a range of 5,500 nautical miles, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and stabilizers for enhanced comfort during voyages.The yacht’s exterior design, created by Can Yalman, showcases angular lines and expansive dark-tinted windows across all decks. 33m Far Niente Listed for Sale
The 32.7-meter motor yacht Far Niente, built in June 2024 by Turkish shipyard SES Yachts, is now available for sale through broker Dominic Meredith-Hardy of Classic Charters. Combining classic aesthetics with modern technology, the yacht features a fuel-efficient hull design by Hoek Design Naval Architects, inspired by early 20th-century Dutch herring luggers.Constructed with a steel hull and wood-composite superstructure, Far Niente was commissioned by experienced owners as a classic-style expedition yacht. The interior layout accommodates 10 guests across five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, along with crew quarters for six.The yacht’s design blends traditional and contemporary elements, with grey-washed oak and white paneling contrasted by exposed timber beams and classic deckheads. The main saloon includes a dining area for 10 and an L-shaped lounge, while the bridge deck offers a TV lounge and an outdoor space with al fresco dining and sunpads.Additional features include tender storage on the foredeck, serviced by a retractable crane. Pershing Marks 40 Years of Innovation in Yacht Manufacturing

Fifth Mangusta Oceano 50 Launched by Overmarine Group
Overmarine Group has launched the fifth hull in its Mangusta Oceano 50 series, a 50-meter displacement yacht measuring just below 500 GT. The vessel features exterior and interior design by Alberto Mancini in collaboration with the shipyard's technical department.The yacht's layout emphasizes indoor-outdoor connectivity through floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive glazing. Accommodation includes five cabins, with a full-beam master suite on the main deck featuring an automated balcony. The lower deck houses four guest cabins and a gymnasium.Outdoor amenities comprise three connected beach club terraces, two swimming pools (including a 6.5×2.6-meter pool with countercurrent system), and multiple lounge/dining areas across the decks. The sun deck infinity pool creates a visual connection with the horizon.Power comes from twin MTU 12V 2000 M86 engines (1,700hp each), delivering a 16-knot top speed and 4,500-nautical-mile range at 11 knots. Moran Yachts facilitated the sale of this fifth Oceano 50 unit.The launch follows four previous deliveries in the Oceano 50 series since its introduction.
