After previously working in the Predator and Manhattan ranges from 2006 to 2009, Design Unlimited joined the Sunseeker 161 Yacht project.



The British studio Design Unlimited has presented the first interior images of the next Sunseeker 161 yacht, which will become the new flagship when it launches in 2021.



Announced last September, the 161-meter 49-meter yacht is the first Sunseeker Yacht project with an aluminium hull, which is being built in collaboration with the Dutch shipyard Icon Yachts. It will have a design with a fast displacement hull, with design and naval architecture that will take charge of the development team of Sunseeker in Pula.



The new Sunseeker three-deck yacht in the 50-meter segment follows the iconic exterior lines of the brand and offers exceptional space and volume. The luxurious interior space can be decorated according to the unique taste of each owner with the help of the well-known Sunseeker service "Bespoke".



Named "Sunseeker by Icon", specific details about the yacht are scarce, but the style balances Sunseeker's familiar window designs with an aggressive wheelhouse, which faces a long, surprising arch that creates an almost vertical entrance.



This is an exciting offer and, in combination with a high-speed helmet, alludes to a large yacht in the style of an investigator, designed for comfortable and efficient travel over long distances.



The standard configuration is designed for ten people but can be accommodated 12 according to the chosen design. Using the Sunseeker custom service, customers can tailor the interior of the 161 yachts to their exact wishes.



The key points will include a configuration that generally offers accommodation for 10 people in five cabins, but with the option of 12 in six cabins and a small pool on the main deck. The design also includes a large beach club area with drop-down brackets and a transom mirror that create a wonderful entertainment space right on the water. The interior details of the number one body have not yet been published, but thanks to Sunseeker's individual service, the choice of finishes and styles is extensive.



The announcement of this new model and the partnership between the two shipyards has made at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2018, and the number one helmet should be presented in the spring of 2021.

65m ISA Classic flagship superyacht is taking shape
This week, Italian builder ISA Yachts, a brand from Palumbo Superyachts portfolio, rolled out its current in-build 65-metre flagship project ISA Classic out of her welding shed and moved her to the outfitting stage at the Ancona facility.The vessel features exterior and interior design by Enrico Gobbi of ‘Team For Design’ who has penned several more ISA models. Within her 1,300 GT interior volume, the yacht’s layout encompasses 6 staterooms along with a convertible cabin. The full-beam owner’s suite is located forward on the main deck and a huge full-beam beach club with three opening transom doors lays right below the pool placed on the main deck.The largest ISA project so far, the 65-metre was sold to an experienced European owner in 2017. The yacht is set for delivery in spring 2021.Other news from the builder include recent sale of ISA Super Sportivo 100ft GTO with potential top speed of 50 knots, along with taking on another ambitious project, the 100-metre superyacht concept Crossbow.
60m Alia superyacht Samurai to debut in public three years after launch
Turkish builder Alia Yachts that is about to triple in size with a new facility, is getting ready to debut its 60-metre flagship superyacht Samurai at Monaco Yacht Show 2019.Launched in 2016, the vessel has received little publicity since then. She features exterior styling by Omega Architects, naval architecture by van Oossanen and interior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon, combining top northern European design with Eastern yachtbuilding capability.Alia President Gökhan Çelik has commented:We’ve been sitting on the superyacht industry’s best-kept secret for the last three years. In terms of overall design and construction quality, Samurai demonstrates what we’re capable of and I’m delighted we finally have this opportunity to show her off to the yachting world.The exterior profile of Samurai features bold vertical windows, elegantly arched superstructure and long aft overhangs. Thanks to her sleek lines, a high-volume interior of 1,050 GT is disguised, mostly inside the hull.A spacious beach club and gym with fold-down transom door and side platform, a tender garage with room for two custom tenders of up to 7 metres, the crew quarters, crew dinette and pro-spec gallery, are all to be found on the lower deck, besides the engine room.The main deck provides accommodation for 10 guests across four cabins and a full-beam, forward-facing master suite. The staterooms, open-plan main salon and dining room benefit from natural light and sea views thanks to the full height windows. Alia Yachts was founded in 2008 by Gökhan Çelik, together with his business partner Ömer Koray, in Antalaya, Turkey. Its purpose-built facilities are equipped for cutting-edge yacht construction in carbon-reinforced composites, steel and aluminium up to 60 metres. 110m Custom Project Odin available for € 220 million
One of several models in the new Kriger Projects series of 90 to 150 metres in LOA, the 110-metre Project Odin, is available on sale via IYC asking € 220,000,000, with the 2023 delivery.The concept is presented by award-winning designer Diana Scott and Naval Architect McFarlane Ship-design, with interiors by H2 Yacht Design. Able to host up to 36 guests across 17 cabins and a master suite, the vessel has a potential for luxury charter, along with exclusively private use. Project Odin boasts numerous onboard spaces, including living spaces, formal and informal dining areas, gyms and a lavish cinema room. A defining design feature is the optional fold out balconies throughout the yacht’s living and accommodation areas for a true on-water feel. Large opening superstructure doors would let the light in.Owners will delight in the expansive dedicated owner spaces, including a huge master owners suite, owners spa and gym and a secret staircase that leads directly to the bridge via a private study and library. Wellness enthusiasts would delight in the on board spa zone, complete with a Hammam steam room, snow rooms, water fountains, Finnish saunas, deep relaxation areas, massage rooms, beauty and hair saloons and several different indoor and outdoor work out spaces. Ferretti reveals new Custom Line 106
Italian builder Ferretti has introduced new yacht from the Custom Line planing line, based on the model designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design studio.With her length of 32.82 metres and the width of 7.3 metres, the Custom Line 106 is a product of the partnership between the Francesco Paszkowski Design studio, Ferretti Group's Engineering Department and the Product Strategy Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari. The interior styling is developed by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini.
Custom 106 features sleek and powerful profile, with taut lines running from the stern to the forward area, generating a spectacular alternation of materials and colours in the light structural surfaces and dark tinted windows. The hull windows are broad and ample, while a sense of direct contact with the sea is offered by the full-length deck windows, further expanded by their convex shape. The new yacht is distinguished by 220 m2 of interconnected exterior floor surfaces. The flybridge is directly connected to the bow through a spacious port walkway, while the starboard walkway leads to the cockpit, from which the flybridge is reached using the port stairway.The vessel comes with a garage for storing a Williams DieselJet505 tender and a three-person jet ski can be lowered into the water. The bow area is also enriched an additional garage for a Mini Jet Williams 2.80 or a compact three-person jet ski. On the main deck, there is the full-beam master cabin of 6.50 metres in width to be found, while two VIP cabins and two twin suites lay on the lower deck. The crew area located in the foredeck consists of a captain's cabin with separate shower and two double crew cabins.Custom Line 106 will come equipped with two 2217-Mhp MTU 16V 2000 M86 engines, allowing the yacht to cruise at 20 knots and reach her maximum speed at 23 knots. Alternatively, there is an option for twin 2638-Mhp MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, which can reach a cruising speed of 22 knots and a maximum speed of 26 knots. The vessel will be fitted with electro-hydraulic stabilising fins, offering both underway and zero-speed modes. On request, gyroscopic stabilisers can also be fitted for maximum comfort at anchor.
Heesen delivers full-custom 56m superyacht Galvas
Dutch builder Heesen has shared news on the delivery of its YN 18556 hull previously known as Project Neptune, the 56-metre full custom steel FDHF superyaht Galvas.

Basing upon Heesen’s engineering platform for the 55m FDHF Steel Class, Galvas sports an innovative design penned by British firm H2. The yacht’s subtle paint scheme boasts a silver nuance on the transom, wing station and mast.On the functional side, the exterior design includes tenders stored on the forward deck under hatch covers, while the lower beach club houses water toys. A 3.5-metre long fixed platform provides easy access to the water. In the meantime, warm teak, blue backlit panels and bamboo finishing of the outdoor lounge areas blend with the ocean beyond.

With her interior volume of 770 GT, Galvas offers accommodation to up to 12 guests (with the crew of 13) across six staterooms designed by British design studio Reymond Langton, at the owner’s choice. Meanwhile, his generous 85-square-metre master suite is set forward on the main deck, comprising a private gym with steam room, office, full-beam bedroom and bathroom. The interior architecture throughout the main deck and upper deck saloons is in sycamore combined with understated geometric motifs. The delicate fabrics and soft furnishings interplay with artworks by DKT in glass, gypsum, resin and bronze.Two MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesel engines coupled with the ultra-efficient FDHF steel hull allowed Galvas to exceed her top speed of 15.5 knots during sea trials. At a cruising speed of 13 knots, she will boast a range of 3,100 nautical miles. The yard is particularly proud that YN 18556 is the second yacht in Heesen’s fleet to comply with the latest emissions regulations thanks to an SCR catalytic system reducing NOx exhaust emissions, as long as ecology awareness has been recently in the focus with the major yacht builders.Galvas has already completed rigorous tests in the North Sea, and is now heading to the Mediterranean for her maiden voyage.
