Newly released renders of the Moonflower 72 project by Nauta Design, currently under construction at Wider Superyacht Hub in Venice's Porto Marghera, showcase the yacht's sleek design and innovative beach club arrangement. Announced in May 2022 with the keel laying following three months later, the superyacht's exterior features crisp lines and a harmonious connection between the interior and exterior spaces, reflecting Nauta Design's design philosophy.
According to Mario Pedol, co-founder of Nauta Design, the Moonflower 72 embodies their style language, characterized by a balanced combination of style, comfort, and a close relationship with nature and the marine environment.
The yacht's profile design and exterior social spaces were meticulously studied, resulting in a streamlined and elegant aesthetic. The combination of aggressive longitudinal plans, organic contours, and balanced volumes creates a timeless elegance that will endure.
The Moonflower 72's design exudes a decisive personality and expressive force while instilling a sense of peace and freedom. It blends male and female forms, ensuring buildability and functionality are not compromised. The yacht also features Nauta Design's patented beach club concept known as 'The Island.' With multiple fold-down platforms, the swim platform and beach club expand to cover an impressive 117 sqm, allowing guests to freely walk around the yacht's aft perimeter and enjoy unparalleled contact with the sea on this 72-meter superyacht.
The yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2025.
Nauta Design was founded by Massimo Gino and Mario Pedol in 1985. Their design included the yachts for Southern Wind, projects with Baltic Yachts, but were also asked to create motor yachts of all sizes (up to 180 m) such as the exterior profile of the Lürssen megayacht Azzam.
Wider was founded by Tilli Antonelli, who started his own company after resigning from the Ferretti Group. The first Wider 42 was launched in 2010. The Wider 150 was launched in October 2015 and was named M/Y Bartali. The Wider 165 was launched in May 2018.
