A motor yacht that embodies a step back to the Roaring Twenties, the 39.16-metre Fair Lady, was originally built in 1928 by Camper and Nicholsons. Refitted in 2016, she has now found a new owner, with Burgess representing both the buyer and the seller.
A truly authentic classic, this distinguished yacht has retained her exquisite period features, alongside the latest communications and technology. Her original features include the 1920s ship's wheel and brass binnacle sitting alongside the latest navigational equipment in the wheelhouse.
Time has stood still in the cosy card room on the yacht's main deck, which retains the original pear wood detailing and furniture. Fair Lady’s traditional mahogany-panelled dining room was designed for formal dinners, while the main saloon's plump sofas and art nouveau furniture create a calm and relaxing space by day or night.
Fair Lady offers accommodation to 8 guests within 5 cabins, along with a crew of 6. The cabins on the lower deck are accessed via separate staircases forward and aft. The aft double and twin have en suite bathrooms, original portholes and a warm feel with traditional, understated decor.
Fair Lady’s full beam master suite is fitted with an en suite bathroom, bureau and sofas nestled beneath the portholes to port and starboard. Further forward, two comfortable single cabins each have their own washbasin and share a large guest bathroom.
The yacht is trademarked with vast deck spaces, which include a choice of dining and sunbathing areas. A sheltered alcove on the sun deck is a popular spot for breakfast, while the expansive sun pad and wooden sun loungers aft offer plenty of opportunities to catch the sun. Meanwhile, chick Parisian bench bends around the stern on the main deck and a further shaded dining area offer a refreshing escape from the heat.
As to waterspouts opportunities, Fair Lady is capable to store a 5.2-metre Boston Whaler tender with 130 HP engine, a 3.9-metre AB RIB tender with 30 HP engine, two Laser sailing dinghies, two inflatable stand up paddle boards, two canoes, waterskis and snorkelling gear.
Powered by twin Gardner engines of 231 HP each, Fair Lady can reach a top speed 12 knots, cruising comfortably at 10 knots.
At the time of sale, Fair Lady was asking € 5,750,000. The yacht is now available for charter from € 56,000 per week.
