Sea Ray has revealed new details about the new SLX 260 Surf. A wakesurfing boat will be launched in 2023 and will expand the SLX range.
“We kicked off the next chapter of the SLX line earlier this year with the launch of the SLX 260 and SLX 260 Outboard. We created the SLX 260 Surf as a new option for boaters who are looking for the excitement of watersports but love the elegance of the SLX 260,” says Keith Yunger, Sea Ray president.
The Sea Ray SLX 260 features an extended transom with a broad swim platform and an expanded sunpad. The swim platform is outfitted with a swim step and concealable ladder for easy water access. The sunpad presents a prime spot to take in the sights along the water’s edge and lounge in comfort. An integrated transom cooler can be filled with ice and drinks or kept empty as dry storage to safely stow items. The cockpit’s updated layout includes L-shaped bench seating with deeper seats. Convenient storage has been incorporated throughout such as the enlarged ski compartment in the cockpit floor and transom locker for storing gear, floating water mats and inflatables.
“The SLX 260 Surf offers boaters more flexibility for fun – whether they want to share a romantic getaway, cruise around in comfort with friends, or give water sports a try with the kids or grandkids,” said Carrie Fodor, senior manager of design engineering.
The helm is equipped with a Dual Digital Dash featuring 9″ Simrad touchscreen displays with Mercury VesselView Mobile, Active Trim control and monitoring, and CZone digital switching.
To create the ideal wake the SLX 260 Surf is powered by a Mercury MerCruiser 6.2L MPI ECT engine with a forward-facing Bravo Four S drive, integrated SmartCraft technology and Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) controls.
