Nautor Swan has kicked off its 2024 launching season with a spectacular start, having already launched eleven yachts, including two Swan 88s. With twenty-four yachts expected to be completed by Midsummer, the season is marked by significant activity at the yard.
From May 27th to June 8th, Nautor Swan is hosting its annual Boatbuilding Technology Centre (BTC) Open Days in Pietarsaari. This event offers clients and prospective buyers a unique opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art facility and witness the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into every Nautor Swan yacht.
Guests will be accompanied by Nautor’s knowledgeable international sales team, who will guide them through a comprehensive tour of the facility. Visitors will have the chance to observe every phase of the yacht construction process, from early lamination and fit-out stages to the final launch into the water. The tour will provide an in-depth look at the skilled work of Nautor’s boatbuilders, renowned for their attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Highlights of the tour include a preview of the newly launched Swan 88, the versatile ClubSwan 43, and a glimpse of the Swan 128, which is the second-largest yacht in the company's history and is scheduled to be launched in 2025. In addition, the Swan range will be on display, featuring the Swan 48 MKII, Swan 55, Swan 58, Swan 65, and Swan 78, all available for visits and tests before they set sail to their home ports. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the mock-up of the new Swan 51, a yacht that has made history for Nautor Swan and has now been redesigned with the latest Frers naval architecture.
"Following the successful 2023 edition, we've made this event an annual occasion, offering an immersive experience in our world to showcase how we build and deliver each Swan," says Giovanni Pomati, Nautor Group CEO. "The behind-the-scenes adventure is always fascinating, making you feel part of the process and the family. This is crucial for us, to make our enthusiastic sailors feel part of the family and deepen their love for the sport of sailing."
Nautor Swan was founded in 1966 in Pietarsaari, Finland. The builder entered the superyacht market in 1999. Since then, the yard has continued building high-performance sailing yachts in three different lines; ClubSwan, Swan Yachts and Maxi Swan Yachts.
