Moonen has launched the first yacht in its new Caribbean series, 30m Bijoux. The christening ceremony was attended by her owners and the Dutch yard's staff. The new arrival is currently undergoing sea trials ahead of her handover in June.

Project manager at Moonen Yachts, Nicky van Zon, said:
As launch customers for this model, the owners have had a significant influence on the design and layout of the first Matica. They were delighted that the yacht looked even better in the water than they had imagined, and it was wonderful to see the superb colour combination of a grey hull, white superstructure and black striping come into its own

The superyacht features the exterior design by René van der Velden with an interior by UK-based Adam Lay and naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design. Bijoux has a 7m beam and 2.1m draft with her hull design based on the well proven Moonen 97.

As for the accommodation, it is split between five crew and three guest cabins on the lower deck. The owner’s cabin can be found on the main deck, as well as the main saloon, dining area, bar and galley.

Performance wise Bijoux will reach a maximum speed of 13 knots.

The shipyard will now shift its focus on the 36.58m Martinique superyacht, which is due for completion in August.
