As the years comes to an end, we will keep bringing you the latest superyacht designs. Next up, the Mondo 56 Explorer by the Italian Mondo Marine yard. Designed by Sergio Cutolo in combination with Mondo Marine, the 56 explorer reflects the effort the yard is making to take their share of the explorer market which is actively expanding. With a steel hull, light alloy superstructure, a 9.8m beam and a 3.1m draft, it is safe to say that mondo marine's project 56 will be able to cruise in heavy conditions.
Powered by twin diesel MTU engines of 1,850hp each, she will be able to reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and cruise for 5,000nm at 10 knots. This full displacement yacht will be able to accommodate 12 guests in 1 master and 5 double cabins, catered to by a crew of 10.

In the first half of 2013 Mondo Marine S.p.A. was taken over by Mr. Alessandro Falciai and Mr. Roberto Zambrini who officially sealed the acquisition of the company’s brand and production site on May 30, 2013. Mondo Marine, increasingly coming to the international forefront, now is also member of SYBAss (Superyacht Builder Association) founded in 2007 to represent the world’s leading builders of large yachts.
