Dixon Yacht Design has unveiled a new concept that combines the best of both motoryacht and sailing yacht design – the Mini Juno. This smaller sistership to the acclaimed 106m sailing yacht Juno offers a unique proposition in yacht ownership. Constructed using a combination of aluminum alloy and composite materials, the Mini Juno boasts a length overall (LOA) of 33m and a gross tonnage of 200GT.
Following in the footsteps of its larger counterpart, the Mini Juno provides an alternative to traditional sailing yacht or motoryacht experiences. Its single Dyna Rig, designed by Southern Spars, can be operated from the flybridge helm console, making sailing efforts minimal. With the wind in its sails, the vessel can reach speeds of 12 knots, depending on wind speed and angle.
The Mini Juno features accommodation across two decks, as well as a spacious open flybridge. The full-width owner's cabin suite is located aft, providing direct access to the beach area. Additionally, three guest cabins and crew accommodation for four are situated in the foreship.
Embracing an inside/outside concept, the yacht offers a large flexible aft deck for entertaining, while a multi-articulating stern platform allows for easy water access. For added convenience, a William 505 Tender can be stored in a garage or placed directly on the aft deck using a sub-deck-mounted crane.
The ship's engine room is strategically positioned amidship and can be equipped with either serial or parallel hybrid propulsion, optimizing energy usage onboard. Furthermore, solar panels integrated into the flybridge, along with the vessel's two propellers acting as energy-recovery turbines, generate electricity while the yacht is under sail.
