MB92 Group
re-started activity at their facilities in Barcelona and La Ciotat, with some
restrictions, that involve procedures to protect all people entering and
operating in the shipyard.
According to
CEO and President, Pepe García-Aubert: “the health and safety of our employees,
clients, suppliers and the local community have always been our absolute priority.
When we made the difficult decision to suspend activity at our facilities on
the 16th of March, we did so pre-emptively as there was a lack of concrete
containment measures established by international organisations or regional and
National Governments at that time. Given the significant flow of people into
and out of our facilities and the rising number of cases in Europe, the MB92
Group was as prudent as possible to protect everyone’s health, especially when
considering the reduced availability of adequate personal protection at that
time”.
MB92 has sourced all of the necessary personal protective equipment through official channels to begin working again and also put specific organisational measures in place to reduce contact between everyone operating in the facilities like work from home and social distancing measures.
In the end, Mr García-Aubert added: “We have always believed that our ability to adapt to
difficult situations and find solutions for our clients was one of the keys to
our success. Today it is thanks to this quality that we will overcome this
crisis and be stronger as a result.”
