Lynx Yachts launched its first 27.4m Crossover 27 superyacht Avontuur on 18th March. Avontuur was built for the American owner and has gone through sea trials on the North Sea.
The vessel features naval architecture by the Alkmaar-based studio Diana Yacht Design and exterior design from the drawing boards of the Dutch studio Bernd Weel. Her interior was made by the French designer Franck Darnet.
Although the Crossover 27 usually can accommodate eight guests across four staterooms, the owner of this particular Crossover opted to change this layout, with Avontuur offering three guest cabins and with the crew quarters also integrated into the guest space.
During sea trials the made-for-adventure yacht has shown versatile and dynamic capabilities. The Crossover 27 can reach a maximum speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12.5 knots and boasting an impressive eco range of 1,800 nautical miles.
Avontuur has a large light-filled main deck saloon, 70 sq. m main deck which transforms easily into a spacious entertainment area once the toys, an Air Nautique G23 and a five-meter RIB, are launched. The sundeck is equipped with a crane, and will house two Yamaha Waverunners and two stand-up jet skis. The lazarette/toy storage provides ample space for watersports equipment such as stand-up paddleboards, surfboards, canoes, scuba diving equipment and much more.
She will soon be delivered to her US owner and will start her maiden trip around the Mediterranean. Avontuur will make her debut at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
Lynx Yachts is headquartered in NIjkerk, the Netherlands. The shipyard produces both luxury motor yachts and yacht support vessels under the YACHT-X-TENDER (YXT) brand name.
