JFA Yachts continues the development of its “Long Island”catamaran range and presents the Long Island 86 Power – a 26m yacht with an aluminum hull and a composite deck. The catamaran will have generous dimensions and proportions. The yacht was designed by Marc Lombard Design Group. The naval architecture is made by JFA Yachts design department and Nicolas Purnu of 3 Lignes office.
The version presented today is characterized by a very large fly bridge. With a helm station, a sheltered bar and a large lounge with many seats, this upper deck allows to create different and private spaces and to enjoy spectacular sea views. It is also possible to opt for a superstructure with an enclosed wheelhouse, as made on the Long Island 78 Power. The roof will be fitted with solar panels to provide electricity while the yacht is at anchor and to reduce the use of the generator.
On the foredeck, and accessible from the indoor lounge, a hot tub completes the comfort of an intimate space for enjoyable moments of relaxation and warmth. The Long Island 86 Power has a vast outdoor/indoor living space on the main deck, thanks to an exceptional deck width of over 11 meters. The outdoor dining area, sheltered and shaded, the living room and the comfortable sunbathing will offer the guests to share unforgettable outdoors moments.
The Long Island 86 Power can be offered with a conventional or a hybrid propulsion system in order to be able to move in silent mode between two anchorages. The aft platform, where the tender is secured at sea, is easily convertible in a relaxation area or a beach, ideal for launching the diverse water toys.
The interior might be personalized by a long-term partner of JFA Yachts, Darnet Design. The Long Island 86 Power can accommodate eight guests between four cabins including an owner's cabin. She will be able to accommodate up to four crew members.
"Long Island catamarans are simple, efficient, seaworthy ... and refined," says Marc Lombard about this range of offshore luxury catamarans.
JFA Yachts was founded in March 1993 at Concarneau in Brittany, a region in France rich in maritime heritage. Kermor, a 75’ light displacement sailing yacht, was the first yacht produced by the shipyard. Kermor means ‘house on the sea’ in Bretton. Now it’s a boutique shipyard; where the expertise, the savoir-faire, and family environment make the construction project into a unique experience. Today, nearly 60 yachts, sailing and motor, monohull and multihull, made out of both aluminium and composite, explore the planet.
