The Project Sea Hawk superyacht concept was presented by the London-based design firm Hawk Yachts in a preview at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015. The new 103 meters Sea Hawk explorer yacht has a Polar Ice Class 6 classification. Amongst her notable key features, she has an impressive range of 12,000 nm, as well as three months storage capacity, oversized propellers and machinery that is designed to withstand ice interaction and floating debris.
Perfect for a true world-wide exploration and adventure, luxury motor yacht the Project Sea Hawk can cruise the world in maximum safety and luxury.
Hawk Yachts was founded by the captain of luxury yacht Lady Moura, Matthias Bosse, who has teamed up with designers Frank Neubelt and Diana Scott, master mariner Michael Zerr, naval architects Andri Largiarder and PolarKonsult, as well as polar expert David Fletcher to create the sea hawk yacht project. The yacht could accommodate 36 guests and 62 crew while featuring a spa, an indoor pool, huge sauna, a gym, an ample bar and a lounge surrounded by windows and balconies, all the comforts expected on such a luxurious superyacht.
The use of a hybrid propulsion system will allow cruising at speeds of up to 12 knots using only electricity, which makes Project Sea Hawk an eco-friendly superyacht. In addition to this, an onboard incinerator along with sewage and grey-water treatment processes will minimize environmental impact.
Nick Lockett of Hawk Yachts explains that the yacht is designed to go anywhere, limited only in some places by the 5.5 meter draft, while still looking classy.
Hawk Yachts said it is working on two more designs for 50m and 80m yachts with the same explorer characteristics as the Sea Hawk.
