Gulf Craft has presented its 37m Majesty 120 at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The yacht, named Rocket One, became the first hull to debut in Europe and the second hull in the series. Last year, Gulf Craft sold a selection of models to European customers, including the Majesty 100, 120, and 140, and, underlining the strength of the ever-present charter business opportunities in the market, has also delivered two Majesty 100s and a Majesty 120.
“Europe has and always will be an incredibly important market for us. As each year passes, we are seeing a significant shift in the perception of composite-built superyachts – in previous years this market has been strongly focused on traditional steel hulls, but we are beginning to see an interesting upward trend in fiberglass hulls. For us, this is a very positive sign, we have been trailblazing the use of composite materials in our yachts over the past 40 years and we truly believe in the benefits of using composites. A prime example is the Majesty 175, the jewel in our crown and the world’s largest composite-built production superyacht that further cemented our position as an innovator in the use of composites,” says Mohammed Hussein AlShaali, Gulf Craft Chairman.
The 37m Rocket One was designed by Gulf Craft’s in-house studio and is constructed with advanced composite materials. She features two 2,500 horsepower engines and a draft of just over six feet, she has the ability to navigate shallow waters, meeting the needs of European marine enthusiasts looking for world-class performance and handling.
Her interior was made by Italian designer Cristiano Gatto. Gatto has been working closely with Majesty Yachts for a number of years. For example, his team penned the interior for the shipyard’s flagship yacht, the Majesty 175.
Rocket One can accommodate up to 12 guests across six cabins, including an owner cabin and VIP cabin on the lower deck, as well as a family-friendly lounge. She also features a spacious sundeck with panoramic views, 30 percent larger than other yachts in her class.
Majesty 120 can cruise at 12 knots and has a range of 1200 nautical miles. She has a top speed of 18 knots.
Since the company’s inception in 1982, Gulf Craft has grown to become one of the top seven shipyards in the world: once a builder of small fishing boats in its modest premises, which was a genuine passion for Gulf Craft, they then established their credentials as a leader of innovation and technology in the yachting industry. With five brands in their product portfolio ranging from 31 to 175 feet, Gulf Craft manufactures yachts and boats that appeal to a wide audience, such as touring passenger vessels, Silvercraft family day boats, Oryx Sport Cruisers, Nomad Explorer Yachts, and the flagship Majesty Yachts.
