Cantiere del Pardo has released the first detailed images of the Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise, a bluewater yacht designed for long-distance sailing. Captured by Fabio Taccola, the photos highlight the yacht's design, which was crafted by Matteo Polli with exterior and interior layout by Nauta Design.
The Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise, or LC, builds on the success of the Grand Soleil 72 Performance (P) model. It features a raised and extended deckhouse, providing additional saloon space and a deeper cockpit. The yacht's sleek lines and enhanced comfort are intended for safe maneuvering, even with a reduced crew. The onboard systems are designed to optimize resource management and minimize fuel consumption.
"The Grand Soleil 72 project was always meant to include an exceptional Long Cruise version," said Franco Corazza, project manager for Grand Soleil's over 60ft fleet. "Combining tradition and innovation, this yacht leverages our experience in advanced composites and the expertise of our Made in Italy partners."
The LC version introduces a raised deckhouse, creating a 270-degree panoramic view from the 20-square-meter saloon. This area is divided between a large dining table for eight and a comfortable sofa to starboard. An offset companionway reconfigures the spacious cockpit to include a larger C-shaped sofa without sacrificing twin sunbeds at the aft end. This design allows for two distinct social areas: one on deck and one below.
The raised deckhouse also provides technical advantages. By elevating the roof and floor slightly, additional space is created below deck for electrical and mechanical systems, freeing up room elsewhere on the yacht. Despite these modifications, the LC version adds no more than 500kg to the displacement.
Naval architect Matteo Polli, known for optimizing race boats, designed the Grand Soleil 72LC. The hull is constructed using vacuum infusion in epoxy-based vinylester with glass/carbon fiber and recycled PVC foam core. This construction ensures high performance on long offshore passages, with speeds exceeding true wind speeds up to 10 knots. The yacht can reach over 14 knots on a broad reach and 20 knots under optimal conditions.
The Grand Soleil 72LC is equipped with a powerful sailplan, including options for a fat-head main, furling gennaker, Code sail, and staysail. Sail handling is facilitated by a self-tacking jib and large electric winches, with controls accessible from the twin helm stations.
Nauta Design, renowned for its work with Grand Soleil, crafted the yacht's interior to maximize space and comfort. The saloon offers expansive views through deckhouse windows and skylights. The design includes intelligent storage solutions and complete amenities, with two possible galley configurations and a master cabin forward for privacy and natural light.
Guest accommodations include two large cabins configurable as doubles or twins, each with ensuite options. The captain's cabin can be used as a fourth guest room or dedicated crew space.
The interior features high-quality upholstery, fine woods, and stainless steel detailing in three palette options: warm teak, dark walnut, or limed oak. This creates a contemporary and welcoming space.

Cantiere del Pardo was founded in 1973 in Italy. Pardo Yachts, the brand of Cantiere del Pardo dedicated to powerboats, was born in 2016. The first model, the Pardo 43, was launched in 2017. Grand Soleil was founded in 1973 and is famous for its yachts, which ensure performance for regattas, autonomous long-distance navigation, as well as a high level of sustainable consciousness.

Heesen Yachts has completed the joining of the hull and superstructure for Project Grace, designated YN 21350. The yacht is the first unit in Heesen's new 50-meter Steel class. The operation, which lasted one week, began at the Talsma shipyard in Franeker, where the steel hull was fabricated. The hull was then transported by river and canal to Heesen's facility in Oss, where the main engines were installed prior to the joining procedure.The yacht is equipped with two MAN engines, each rated at 882kW and compliant with IMO Tier III emissions standards. This is the first Heesen yacht to use this specific engine model.Peter van der Zanden, Head of the Design & Development / Engineering Department, commented: "The new 50-metre Steel series gave us the opportunity to select the ideal engine for our brand-new platform. The design includes features such as low bulwarks and full-height windows. Damen Yachting has confirmed the sale of a new 53-meter Yacht Support vessel from its Yacht Support range. The vessel, currently under construction at the company's facility in Antalya, Turkey, is scheduled for delivery in Spring 2026. This announcement follows the recent sale and delivery of the YS53 Emotional, which will be displayed at the Monaco Yacht Show.The YS53 model is designed to provide logistical support for main vessels, with facilities for additional crew, water toys, and helicopter operations. Its features include an expansive open main deck aft area equipped with a 15-tonne crane for handling submersibles, large tenders, and other heavy equipment. The vessel measures 53 meters with a gross tonnage of 499 and can accommodate 8 guests, 10 crew members, and a captain. The exterior design, interior design, and naval architecture were all developed by Damen Yachting.Jan van Hogerwou, Sales Director North America at Damen Yachting, stated: “This YS53 is the perfect addition to the Owner’s existing fleet and provides the extension of facilities the Owner is looking to achieve with the addition of a support vessel. Numarine has introduced a new explorer yacht model, the 27XP, at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. The 27-meter yacht replaces the 26XP model, of which 30 units have been sold.The yacht's exterior design and interiors are by Can Yalman, with naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. Two layout options are available: one with five cabins and another with four cabins. The five-cabin configuration includes a main deck VIP cabin, a full-beam master suite below deck, and three additional VIP suites. The four-cabin option moves the wheelhouse to the main deck.The 27XP features an open kitchen concept and enlarged outdoor areas. The flybridge is larger than on the previous model. A raised bow lounge is also included.Twin MAN 560 engines provide a top speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. The yacht has a maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles at 8 knots. Benetti has presented at Cannes the Oasis 42M, a 42-meter yacht and a new model within its Oasis series. The design focuses on expanding exterior living areas and integrating sustainable engineering that has received a 3-star Sea Index rating.The yacht's primary feature is an aft deck measuring 100 square meters, which includes an 8.3-square-meter pool with a retractable enclosure. The sundeck measures 17.3 meters in length, which Benetti states is the largest in the 40-45 meter yacht segment. An additional lounge area is located on the foredeck.The interior design was developed in collaboration with bonetti/kozerski architecture. The main deck contains a salon, dining area, galley, and a forward area that can be configured as a gym, spa, or cinema. This space includes a drop-down terrace. The second Wallywind110 sailing yacht will premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 following private viewings in Sardinia and Monaco. The 33.5-meter vessel represents the sistership to the previously delivered Galma, featuring identical carbon fiber construction with customized interior modifications.Key distinctions from the first hull include a sand-grey hull finish and revised interior layout with flexible cabin configurations. The fourth cabin incorporates convertible bedding that transitions between twin and double arrangements through a sliding mechanism. An office area replaces the bar setup found on the previous vessel.Naval architecture by Judel/Vrolijk & Co. incorporates a telescopic keel adjustable between 4.5 and 6.95 meters depth. The sloop rig configuration utilizes Hall Spars carbon mast and North Sails 3Di sails providing 660 square meters of upwind area. Downwind sail capacity reaches 1,283 square meters.Interior design by Studio Santa Maria Magnolfi features lighter-toned oak cabinetry and reconfigured carbon fiber flooring patterns. The main saloon maintains raised seating with deep hull windows despite the vessel's exterior profile. Accommodations include an owner's suite forward, VIP cabin, and two convertible guest cabins aft.Construction efficiency improved compared to the first hull, with the yard completing the project ahead of schedule.
