Horizon Yachts is delighted to announce the new sport yacht called E56XO. Based on the popular E56 motoryacht model, the vessel is primarily designed for the Australian market but the company believes she will be appealing to other markets as well. "Horizon Motor Yachts Australia advised us that they had clients who were shifting their focus from flybridge models to sport yacht designs - they loved the Horizon product but our only entry-level yacht in this size was the E56 open flybridge. The E56 was popular with Australians when it launched, and she had the style, performance, and amenities that they desired, so from there it was an easy decision to develop the E56XO sport yacht based on the E56 and make some design changes to better suit the market", Elise Moffitt, a spokeswoman for Horizon Yachts, stated.
The yacht is able to accommodate guests in 3 cabins. The master suite is full - beam in nature and is exclusively laid out to maximize space. There's a VIP - category cabin onboard too situated in the bow. If you are accustomed to the E56 model, the VIP will be fairly familiar as it has been replicated from that particular hull.
Other features were specifically designed for Australian clients, as they "like to entertain primarily outdoors with family and friends, and they prefer their entertaining areas to be close together, not distinctly separated between levels", Moffitt said. "With the sport yacht design, all the E56XO's alfresco entertaining is on the main deck level, and we designed these areas to be functional and fun; the bow seating incorporates both a dinette and sunpads, and the aft deck area is truly ideal for watersports, fishing, grilling and much more. The aft galley design, also specific to the Australian market, ties in to this idea of entertaining as well - by locating the galley aft, you can open the salon door and create one large party area between the aft deck and the galley", she continued.
As for the performance, the new Horizon E56XO features CAT C12A 705HP engines and reaches a maximum speed of 26 knots. With the optional Volvo IPS 950 engines, she will attain a top speed of 32 knots. Additionally, the hull has been designed to accommodate Seakeeper gyro stabilizers if desired.
The first E56XO will make her worldwide debut at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in Australia in May 2016. The company is confident the yacht will be a hit with the Australian market.
